Cut this pre-game discussion really close. Chicago flew cross-country after Wednesdays game at Vancouver. Should be tired and they gave up a demoralizing goal at the death to let Vancouver take the win. This would be a great time to start to turn things around.

Good to see Smith off the injury list since Tierney is still on it.
So many different lineup options for this game now with Kamara's arrival. My guess is because Kamara played 4-2-3-1 in Columbus, is that for this game we won't move to a different formation until people have more time to train with it. My guess is, if Kamara starts:

    Kamara
    Diego-Nguyen-Agudelo
    Caldwell-Koffie
    Smith-JoGo-Farrell-Woodbury

And if Kamara starts on the bench, Agudelo up top with Rowe on that right wing spot.

With Bunbury's substitute appearance against LA should he be ready to start this week? I could see him taking Agudelo's place in your formation.

Also weird that he and Watson are not assigned a status, but whatever.

Rowe, rather than Bunbury or Agudelo, will start, because he plays more defense. According to the graphic in the Orlando game, he leads MLS in interceptions and possessions won in the attacking third.

With Kamara on board, it's vital to have some good crosses from the wings. Too bad Tierney isn't fit. I'm afraid that's really going to limit Kamara's chances.

But hopefully Agudelo continues his goal-a-game pace.

I think you're right though I hope not. I also can't see Heaps starting Kamara though he should. We didnt buy him to work him into the lineup. He will be the starting forward. It's just a matter of if we play one or two forwards. If we play two forwards, I think Caldwell sits

I will be interested to see how Kamara reacts to Rowe the turnover machine? lol. Will he get that WTF look on his face or be political and soldier on....?

Is it true that the NE Revolution match is blacked out on CSNNE? This is the first time that I’ve ever seen a match blacked out and it coincides with Kamara’s debut.

CHI has gone an MLS-record 28 games without a victory on the road (0-19-9).

I could easily see Kamara not starting this week, seeing as he only got here like an hour ago, but we'll see. I would expect that he'd be starting by next week though.

In terms of the outside midfield spots, I would think it's picking 2 of the 3, it could be Rowe and Bunbury, with Diego on the bench. And it could depend on the matchups, I don't know what Chicago is like, but after their mid-week loss, they're now last in ppg. Are they someone we'd need Rowe's defense for, or do they have a faster guy that Bunbury would be better on, or a defense that would be better for Bunbury to exploit, or a team that would be better to have Diego and Bunbury against?

You heard it here first Rowe will start at RB...Heaps has to be most incompetent and foolish coach in the league. It's starting to get unbearable that you can tell he plays favorites regardless of positioning obviously. This guy along with Burns has to be worse combination of GM and "Head Coach" in professional sports.

Imagine that, Heaps sticking with the same formation with Kamara starting up top. And yes, Rowe at RB Heaven help us

It's an interesting move to play Rowe at RB and actually could turn into a pretty smart tactical move if he's able to use his pace to get forward and whip in crosses for Kamara. Having an attack minded fullback is just another distraction for the Chicago defenders to deal with. It could go wrong if he turns it over in the wrong place but it seems to be a smart move so far.

That is why I have long thought Teal should make the move to RB. Also, Teal has speed. Not sure Rowe has the speed for the position, but in the spirit of getting our best players on the field tonight I think this works. If Davies is healthy maybe Teal gets the start back there since I bet Teal is the Kei backup tonight.

Just joking here, Davies would have buried that ball into the box around the 31st minute that Kei missed :)

arrogantly wasteful from the Revs this half, lots of energy spent pressing high and only 1 goal as a result.

Possibly - but I don't trust Teal back there. He would be like Alston, lots of speed but poor first touch.

Leave it to Heaps to use a system with all those attacking options and only score 1 goal.

He's been active and energetic all game which is great to see. He will learn movements and combine well with the other guys once he has an opportunity to train.
