Mid-week action. Game is on TV for those who can't make it. Its also Pride Night, with a special rainbow scarf for sale.
1-1 draw, goal by Doyle. Yeah, same prediction as last Saturday. LA has a better offense and a slightly worse defense,, but we have the home field advantage and the benefit of no travel. Those all cancel out into a draw. http://view-from-the-couch.blogspot.com/2017/06/rapids-host-galaxy-on-pride-night.html
The Galaxy have one less day of rest than the Rapids coming into this match having drawn with Houston on Sunday in LA. This should assist the Rapids in the final 30 minutes or so. They seem to have figured this out in the last month or so. Beyond that, the Rapids seem to have some sort of mojo going at this time. They've won in a variety of ways, impressively coming from behind multiple times, something we didn't see last season. No JJ for this match, but Jelle Van Damme is coming back from suspension and Zardes is supposed to be full go. https://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2017/...hort-handed-once-more-against-colorado-rapids It will be interesting to see who both sides manage the short week. Let's hope Saeid is playing in the middle of the pitch.
Can't go to, or even watch the game. I have a sinking feeling this is a loss at 1-2 with Van Damme injuring one of our players. Here's to hoping this prediction is way off base.
0-0 draw in an ugly affair. Frankly, most of the soccer this year has been rather ugly, so that's not really a prediction.
1-0 win, goal from Doyle. LA will struggle with short turnaround and altitude. Entertainment value will be low.
The Galaxy are weird this season. 1-3-3 at home (6 pts in 7 games), and 4-2-1 (W-L-T) on the road (13 pts in 7 games). Rapids are 5-2-1 (16 pts in 8 games) at home vs 0-6-0 (Zilcho pts in 6 games) on the road.

2-1 Gordon comes on and heads in the winner. Or heads it down to someone who puts away the winner. I'm not original.
The Rapids tried the same defense. Unfortunately, the Gals know where the net is located. EDIT: and Sjoberg doesn't know where the danger lies.
Hard to believe this is really a LAG team. I see GATT is setting new Rapids standards for shooting, holy cow is he off.
