Does anyone know why that penalty call review took so long before the actual review???? Isn't that an automatic review???
It's automatic for the VAR ref up in the booth to look at it. It's up to the VAR ref to tell the CR if he should go look or not.
Nice ball from Williams (!), good ball across from Badji and Gordon makes no mistake Somehow the Rapids are ahead
a Montreal player had to come off because no shinguards. And we thought the Rapids weren't very together

After a horrific drive up (I-25 was closed for a homicide?), at least we saw a win. A couple thoughts: + Highlight was the kid escort who ditched his player and ran to wave at C-38 + I like Gatt's play ... now, if he could just pick his head up and/or get support on his break aways! + Looked like Boatang was inches away from GOTY - Loved Aigner's goal but Gordon's (and the build up) were very nice - I wonder what the Vegas odds were on Watts getting a straight red prior to this? Just dumb! - With no Azira and Watts, our midfield will be "interesting" - Sjoberg seems like he's slowed down and is disinterested ... dumb distributions, poor marking, etc - Da Fonte isn't an MLS-level player (on a team with several)
Agreed about Gatt, his speed provides him lots of opportunity to be very dangerous. Making something of those opportunities seems to be another story. Needs support or at least a plan when he finds himself with space and the ball. Watts always seems to get himself in the line up more than one might expect given his wildly inconsistent decision-making and impact on games. He must be offering something outside of league games that Pablo and Cooke seem(ed) to have confidence in. I just don't know what it is outside of hustle, and I'm pretty sure it ain't smarts. Azira will be missed. Def. will see more Boatang, maybe even Serna.
Near the "Greenland" exit? DP article Sounds like something crazy happened at the Air Force Academy...nerf gun battle somehow got reported as an active shooter situation with rumors that the shooters were posing as police. But that was late Saturday. We didn't make it to the game, had a conflict, but getting into downtown Denver from Speer around 7 was rough. I-25 south was pretty backed up, and Speer was a parking lot. Lot going on downtown - Rockies game, concert at the Pepsi center, 3 shows or more at the Denver center. I'd be happy never to see either again. Maybe with a new coach Watts will be relegated to USOC duty. Gatt appeared to be simply whiff on Badji's excellent early pass. This has really been a lost year for him, quite a comedown from last year's season. Maybe it's all related to the injuries. He never got into a flow.
Apparently a body was found near I-25, that is what slowed everything down coming from the south. I couldn't go, but gave the game a speed through later. I'm glad it turned out to be a good game for those who went, it looked entertaining. I'll probably go to one of these last one or two because, well, I still like to watch soccer.
Like Albert said, there was a body found near I-25 near Monument. We checked CDOT prior to the drive, so we went up 83 instead. Unfortunately, so did a whole lot of other folks!
