Halftime stats: Colorado 6 shots, 5 on frame(!), 76% passing accuracy, 50% in the attacking half. Columbus: 6 shots, none on frame, 83% passing accuracy, 78% in the attacking half. A few notes: Ford plays like a middle linebacker. Elfath has let him do so in the first half. Higuain is unmarked far too often. Somebody needs to "be brave" and get in front of him. Columbus' back line seems disorganized. They aren't communicating with Steffan (very noticeable on the botched play involving Crognale). If the Rapids can keep up some pressure, there's a goal in there somewhere. Except for Gashi, the midfield is AWOL.
Azira trying to cover for his teammates, who left Higuain wide open, and the ball goes in off him. Can we score? My bet is no.
Colorado: 8 shots, 5 on frame, nothing to show for it. Columbus, 8 shots, only 2 on frame, one in the net.
2 parts of this Rapids team are at the higher end of MLS play - our goalkeepers and Gashi's free kicks and corners. Not that we do anything with them, but the service is quality.
Testing Elfath's patience is never a good game plan. The first rule of soccer always has been "know your ref."
