Hazard and Eriksen are far more realistic targets. We can't afford a 6 month drawn out saga like Barca had for Coutinho with Liverpool. Pool are much better compared to 2017 summer as well. And Barca had to overpay as well.

 

He renewed in November 2018 and has a contract until 2023. I don't see Klopp letting him go this summer and we don't even know if he will put in a transfer request which Coutinho did. Hazard is far more easier due to his contract situation. Mane only has advantage of age(27 in April) imo. Hazard is far more proven star caliber player for club and country for a longer time. If you interchange them at Liverpool and Chelsea, Pool doesn't lose any firepower with a trio of Hazard-Firmino and Salah.

Hope we look at realistic targets this summer once it's clear that Liverpool won't sell. Can't end up empty handed like last summer after failing to convince Neymar. Mane plays on the left as well just like Hazard at Chelsea so not a natural RW either.

 

Marca got Militao and Brahim news right, but also have had random stories like Eriksen and Savic last season. HLN who are reliable regarding Belgian players reported we had an 82 ME bid rejected for Hazard. I doubt ZZ would say no to Hazard deal after all the public comments and running his contract to last year. This Mane cover news could be smokescreen to keep Hazard price below 100 ME. Mane will be a far more complicated transfer and expensive due to his contact and what Liverpool got for Coutinho.

 

Someone here mentioned that he played on the right before Liverpool accommodated Salah on the right. I don't know what to say, His price tag is a concern. You have already gone into details and I do agree on it.

 

I just cant' see Liverpool selling us Mane for anything less than 150M and i don't think he's worth that much. You still have Klopp spewing random bullshit about us every couple of months, he's still bitter and so is their club and fanbase.

Yes I think Mane is the one we really want younger than Hazard too.

Hazard and Mané would be amazing, but I don't think it will happen. Finally 2 wingers who can dribble past defenders (beside Vini). But IF we are going to sign them both, I don't think we'll buy a striker anymore. Then we'll go another season with Benzema and Mariano and next season we'll go all in for Mbappé.

 

He kicked up a fuss in January 2016 when he wanted to go Liverpool, 6 months later he was sold. We need to unsettle Liverpool now so we can find out if he is really keen.

Yeah, true. And I'm sure Hazard would score around 20 goals too. I think La Liga suits him best. These players would create a lot of space for Benzema as well. Just look how good Karim is with a 18 year old player.

 

I didn't read the article itself yet but from news on my phone, nowhere they have quoted Marca saying it's Mane OR Hazard.

FWIW, on french side, both players were announced to be tops on Zidane targets as soon as last summer before Zidane left.
