Hmm, all the players you have mentioned are playing abroad Zhou Jiabao and all are attacking players, the only exception is the defender from Kataller Toyama. The others players are from China Super League?
This team looks very promising... during the qualifiers they had no problem with the weak teams and held off the Japanese with a 1-1 draw. Hopefully Fu Bo does not ruin them when they get promoted to the U23 team.
http://www.the-afc.com/en/tournamen...82-afc-u-19-championship-group-c-preview.html "In our group we have three strong teams to face. Japan and Korea, in particular, play better football have better technique than us, we admit that," said coach Zheng. "But in the AFC youth championships anything can happen and we will look to be competitive nonetheless. "All I ask is for my players to perform their best tomorrow and make our fans back in China satisfied by our efforts and result."
REMINDER: China U-19 plays Japan U-19 tomorrow morning at 8:00 ET / 5:00 PT. It'll be tough match for both sides, but hopefully China can come out with a good result.
STARTING XI vs Japan: Zhou Yuchen Xiang Hantian, Liu Junshiai, Gao Zhunyi, Yan Zihao Chen Zhechao, Wei Jingzong Tang Shi, Cheng Jin, Wei Shihao Xiang Baixu
China has two good wingers in the future with Wei and Tang. Both are speedy and direct with their plays.
Japan equalise through Minamino with a powerful strike, poor defending from the rightback, he should never be allowed to score from that angle.
They both seem technically good on the ball as well, especially Tang. However China are playing alot of useless longballs, which is a waste as many of these players seem very good on the ball so short passing should suit them much better.
Wei Shihao way too excited, a rash tackle on Sekine which easily could've resulted in his second yellow card. Sekine has been Japans best player so far wreaking havoc on his right wing
China 1-1 Japan. I think Japan is the better team, they closed down on the Chinese players well, didn't give them any chance to pass and made them do long balls only. They also passed better. The Chinese defense has maintained itself so far, but I'm not sure they'll remain like that for 2nd half. Based on the 1st half performance I'd say Japan will win this game, though China will put up a good fight.
HT 1-1 Japan dominated the game until they equalised, after that the game settled down with both teams sharing possession, but Japan has created more chances. Japan missed two really good chances at the end of the half. Japan as usual with very quick and technical players but China has shown that they have players of similar level when they actually try to play instead of just hoofing up the ball. This seriously needs to stop, not a single long ball has hit their target. China's defence looks suspect as usual, our fullbacks always struggle to defend their wings, no matter what age group.
Great result and much improved performance in the second half, especially the defence and they stopped playing those stupid long balls. Man of the match for me was Zhou Yucheng in goal, he came up with a couple of big saves and was calm on the crosses.
This team is individually good but definately needs to work on the teamwork. Too many missed passes and bad communication between players, you could tell that the players are unfamiliar with each other as there was alot of hesitation on when to pass and to whom.
Congratulations! Do you guys know the missing height of some players in the list? The Chinese and Korean players have good heights and strength.
