    I appreciate your decency :ROFLMAO::D

    Teams who, surprisingly are missing the WC : USA, Ivory Coast, Ghana, the Netherlands, Chile and now Italy (and maybe Australia ?)

    edit : congrats to Sweden who has beaten France and has eliminated the Netherlands and now Italy.

    I would say Uruguay instead of Costa Rica because CR was without a doubt the best team of the group. But agree Italy has been poor for years at world level.

    Yes but hindsight, most people thought they would finish last. Either way they shouldn't have lost to Costa Rica.

    This looks like a very wide-open World Cup. Biggest teams have major questions. Can Brazil recover from 2014? Will Spain even be a country lol? Will Germany still be motivated? Will France implode in their Francey ways?

    I can see the stage being set for Messi to hulk out and finally silence those whisperings that that Portuguese mannequin is the better player because of that flukey Euro title last year.

    If we don't draw Peru then realistically we won't make it out of the group.
    Peru is our only hope.

    DeRossi livid about being told to warm up when Italy desperately needed to score.

    What is sad about Italy is that they don't really have a world class offensive player. I even think Son Heungmin can walk into their starting line up...

    Never underestimate your rivals... especially when it comes to Korea playing them.

    Don't think he would get in ahead of Insigne, and Immobile is having an amazing season.

    Apparently, Ventura denied the resignation rumors stating that he hasn't resigned despite failing to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. @Marco91, perhaps the IFF will sack him and appoint someone like Spalletti? I don't see Ventura staying with the Azzurri.

    Ventura is a disgrace for Italian football and should just disappear. Keeping talented player like Insigne and Bernardeschi it's criminal.

    I thought you couldn't represent another country once you've played in another NT prior?

    He only played for 2 friendly matches, so he could still change his team. If he had played in an official match like a qualifier, then he couldn't change his NT team. He has been one of the best attacking midfielders and scorer in Swedish top league, leading his team to group stage of Europa league. Swedish media and fans put a lot of pressure on him to stay in Sweden but the head coach didn't call him for few months, and he decided to join INT. After Ibra stepped down from Swedish NT, many were looking for Saman to stay and help them but the coach made a wrong move by not inviting him. After Saman changed to INT, Swedish coach regretted and experienced a harsh backlash by the fans. Saman loves Ali Karimi and dreamed about INT since his childhood. It will be tough for him if Iran and Sweden will be in the same group.:)

    There was another Iranian who chose Swedish NT instead of Iran. His name was Behrang Safari and played as a defender for many years in Swedish NT. He told Saman to join INT because he regretted not joining INT. Team Melli's shirt has a lot of prestige among Iranians world wide.
