Argentina concedes a goal. no down 0-1 to Ecuador. If all the other results holds on then Argentina does not qualify for the world cup.
I usually root for the underdog but I hope Argentina pulls through. My biggest non-Korea football related wish is to see Messi win the WC and become a GOAT.
No Chile and no America. This is going to be interesting, but World Cup coverage is going to be garbage here in the States because they're not in it.
I remembered 3 years ago when someone said USA has progressed far more than Korea just because they qualified to the rounds of 16...well this time they didn't even qualify at all...
It doesn't matter that the US can't even make it to the World Cup. Fox already paid off FIFA to win the rights to broadcast WC 2018 and 2022. ESPN management must be laughing uncontrollably at the FOX sports folks right now...
This is not the best time to be talking about the quality of KNT in relation to any other team, even if we qualified and they didn't.
That being said, not being able to qualify out of CONCACAF b/c they lost to T&T who were dead last in the hex? Pretty hilarious!
I'm not going to lie though I feel kind of jealous of US cus you know they have the resource and means to change things around. This might be the catalysis. For us we're in life support and if we don't qualify then that'll be the death of Korean football. Absolutely zero interest given by the people and sponsors. Zero reason for KFA to have an incentive to change. But still... THE NADS DIDN"T EVEN QUALIFY
Check out Taylor Twellman's fire on US soccer: http://www.espnfc.us/world-cup-qual...h-twellman-sounds-off-after-us-miss-world-cup This is what's needed to help turn KNT around.
Bruh to change KNT, they need to revamp the whole KFA and the K-league. Nobody likes a shit product, and these two organizations produce shit products. Sadly the people that is running these organizations are too complacent with the current below mediocrity. That's why there won't be any change sadly.
Yeah so shocking that USA is out. I guessed USA would qualify by finishing 3rd in the ladder. I am happy that there are two debutants at the world cup Iceland and Panama. It is good to see new teams.
Alright so who will get the remaining spots: Australia vs Honduras - AUSTRALIA. Peru vs New Zealand - PERU Africa - I'd say TUNISIA, MOROCCO (Although it could be Ivory Coast), SENEGAL Europe - we don't know the playoffs yet.
2018 and 2022 are last WCs that will be remembered as classic era of football in future before greedy bastards ruining the match by switching to 48 format.
Dear friends of BigSoccer Korea, here Chemist, although I know that my participation in the forum is sporadic I would like to share my thoughts on what has happened these days. What an exciting week has been in this side of the world at the conclusion of the last stage of the South America Zone qualifiers. Near to a heart attack for many of us. My humble words can not describe the enormous joy and thrill I feel because my home country has achieved what after 35 years had been elusive. For that reason I would like to share with you these videos. The first contains the passionate narration of the last minutes of Peru v. Colombia via local channel 9 (ATV). As I mentioned above, the last time Peru was so close to qualifying was to France 98 where by goal difference we ended below Chile. Ironies of life, now they on goal difference have been eliminated. A curious note is the song from below which was composed on the occasion of Peru's qualifiers for Mexico 86 (for which you guys made a comeback) and that we missed by a very little inch as Argentina took the opportunity from our hands. However the melody was so popular that until today it is still played in the qualifying matches by our local media stations. Honestly I never thought before that we could get to the intercontinental playoff. I'm not sure if New Zealand will be something so easy, as many TV commentators are already advancing opinions here, well that's how the press always like to behave. However I hope we can meet you guys in Russia. Best regards.
