The truth is that China, Korea and Japan are always in the top 10 of the Olympic mdal table. East Asians are the second fastest group in the 100 meter after the West Africans. China and Japan are world powerhouses in the 100 meter relay. China won the silver medal at the 2015 Athletics World Championships. Japan won the silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games. I'm pretty sure Korea can be successful if they invest in the sport. And East Asians are known for high stamina. The good examples are Park Ji-Sung, Shinji Okazaki and Manny Pacquiao.
remember back when Uli was in charge? We beat Syria at home 1-0. Conclusion: Stielike built Korea into a world class team capable of outperforming the likes of Austria and Syria
I guess all those bombs the USA spent on Syria shifted their country into Europe. They drew 1-1 with Australia.
Lol. WCQ booted off TV in favor of final minutes of college football blowout with a nearly 40 point score difference.
woah Holland is essentially out of the world cup. They have to play Sweden (2nd place in group) and beat them by either 12 or 13 goals.
http://www.the42.ie/sweden-luxembourg-8-0-advocaat-3635387-Oct2017/ Before the Sweden-Luxembourg match a journalist asked what if Sweden beat Luxembourg 8-0. Advocaat (Netherlands manager) said that Sweden wouldn't win 8-0 and that it was a stupid question. And now...
They're going to need a miracle to pull off a 7-0 win, and I mean like a Barcelona-esque miracle, but It is what it is and upsets are a major part of the game whether people like it or not. After all, this whole 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifications alone just proved the uncertainty of each team despite the favorites automatically being assumed to qualify, and minnow teams having stepped it up a notch (Syria for good example), or teams regressing, or just overall performing like shit (You know the answer). Hell, we don't even deserve to be going to Russia as we were on a brink of being dumped to 3rd/4th had it not been from the help of both China and Iran, not to mention the last WCQ cycle where Uzbekistan choked to score 6 goals (What they needed to advance), to which they were just a goal away from receiving the ticket, but qualifications will continue to become tough every cycle let alone the finals.
There will still be struggling teams despite the expansion, the only difference will be the number of team's qualifying by their ass hairs will be greater than previous qualifications.
