May not have won the bronze, and very unfortunate to come off short on PSO, but Park Hang-seo instilled the same fighting spirit that we have onto Vietnam, kept on fighting till the very end after coming back into the game just 10 minutes after conceding to UAE in the first half.

IMO, Vietnam can be proud and should be proud of the very fact that they went far into a tournament where they've never made it past the Round of 16, I mean Semi-finals finish(4th place) at the Asian Games with a runners-up finish at the AFC U-23 Asian Championship all within 8 months of the year is a very outstanding accomplishment.

They can now look forward to the Tokyo Olympics in two years time, and hopefully 쌀딩크 can get them far as he's done for two consecutive tournaments. Would also like to see them do well at the WCQs as well.

So do teams consider this Nation League seriously? Or is it some glorified friendlies?

they basically rank the teams based on this nations league thing then seed the teams for the euros qualifying... hence just glorified friendlies lol

unless i'm misinterpreting how this thing works

The only benefit to this sham of a tournament is that it may help with qualification for the Euros

I think it's an interesting idea. Sort of like a Davis Cup for football. Puts enough competitive value in it that it's more interesting than friendlies, but not so much that managers aren't unwilling to experiment.

The only downside is that this should indirectly worsen our WC seeding, since UEFA countries will mostly be playing each other, making their rankings sort of a closed shop.

no but the knowledge that Lippi is getting paid 28 mill a year is a pretty nice feeling. I am going modify someones quote that was posted a while ago. Hiddink cant teach Park Geun Hye how to cross
