3rd goal for Lucho in this edition of the Libertadores already, if I'm not mistaken... Get ready for the "I knew we should have never let him go!"'s
Whats bizzarre is that I thought the slower pace and less physical play in Brazil would help him, but he's doing well in the Copa Libertadores and against an Argentine team! He was basically useless in his time here, bar a few moments- though it must be said he did contribute 10000x more than Aimar and Saviola combined
We fell out of the top 5 after the results yesterday. Colon of all teams has won 7 games in a row! Diego Vera, the Uruguayan ex-Independiente, is scoring for fun up in Santa Fe, and to think Independiente had him, but wanted him out so they could bring in Gigliotti... This has got to be one of the most idiotic transfer decisions in recent memory. I've always liked Vera since he was at Rafaela and Estudiantes, no idea why Holan forced him out, his record for them wasn't bad and he's clearly better than the perro Gigliotti, but then again that why Independiente has won 1 trophy in the last 15 years.
Just realized that this champion Racing is in large part a combination of our failed prospects + failed signings: Failed prospects -- Solari (scored the championship goal), Orban, Bou, Andres Rios Failed signings -- Cvitanich, Pol Fernandez, Eugenio Mena, Cristaldo "One man's waste is another man's soap"
Of course not. It’s such an average squad. If River and Boca wouldn’t have been focusing on the Libertadores in the first half of the tournament, there’s no way they would have even won the league. I know it sounds bitter, but it’s the truth. Just look at how easily we smacked them 3-0 in the Copa and then again completely outclassed them when we faced off in the league earlier this year. They’re several levels below us as a team overall, no doubt about it. We have to see how they build-up between now and 2020, but at present they’d be a Libertadores quarterfinalist at best.
Yes, there is no doubt that this Racing team is not all that. I mean, Augusto Solari ended up being a key player, not just scoring the championship goal, but also a few other important goals. The guy was pretty much shit at River I don't mind that Racing won however. Any River fan should be happy for Coudet and also I don't think Lisandro Lopez is a bad guy. I of course HATE el wachiturro Centurion, but he wasn't on the field during the stretch run, had he been, i would have been disgusted.
