Sellout crowd of 69K expected at MLS Cup final between Seattle, Toronto https://www.espn.com/soccer/major-l...ected-at-mls-cup-final-between-seattletoronto
I know this is kind of late to the party, but did you guys see the Chelsea v Ajax Champions League match! It had the most bizarre 5 minutes of soccer that I can ever recall seeing. Chelsea down 2-4 late in the game and then 2 Ajax players get their second yellows on essentially one play, leading to PK and 3-4. Ajax subs in 2 giant CBs but they give up a goal immediately to go 4-4. Chelsea goes ahead 5-4 but goal called back on a VAR handling call. 9-man Ajax holds on for about 20 minutes. So bizarre.
Go Christian Go! Christian Pulisic: Chelsea, USMNT star scores again as Blues win six straight in ...
With all the league fixing about having a good team in NYC, you would think by now they will have won something.
This was a great red card after a Bundesliga player committed a foul upon a coach OH MY. 😳Benches cleared at the end of Freiburg's win over Frankfurt after David Abraham took out Freiburg's coach Christian Streich on the sideline. pic.twitter.com/Y1Zof2wlvS— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) November 10, 2019
I thought that foul was so funny, and I was laughing out loud in Starbucks. The best part was the coach’s expression as he was falling down.
I’ll say Congrats to Seattle. Because they defeated the “best team in MLS history” (LAFC) and their fans (long term and/or casual) really turned out and packed their march to the match. plus their fans persevered past the #UnitedFront barriers. The club added new high profile as well as female owners. So I’d say Seattle deserves all the credit it gets. I only watched the last 10 minutes of the 1H so far, so can’t comment on the overall quality of the game. Sounds like it might not have been very good? Anyhow, Congrats to the 2019 MLS champs.

So we sold Godoy for $650k GAM. MN just traded Quintero for $600k spread over two years and Marlon Hairston. Did we do really good or did MN do really bad?
