It looks like Vancouver might be the West's whipping boy this year. :)

Expansion team FC Cincinnati ties Atlanta United 1-1 on the road!

With that draw they get their first MLS point! They are already better than our Quakes!

And their forwards are tall and fast.
Looking at 8 straight losses from us next.

    LOL, Atlanta. Back to earth.

Meanwhile, 0-34 seems even more manageable for the Quakes. Cinci appears to be the better team. Maybe Alashe will have the first ever goal at Avaya for two different teams? I feel another bobblehead coming on. :)

I just had a chance to watch it on dvr, and I was shocked. If they had lost 1-0, I still would have been impressed by the way they played- and IN Atlanta, in front of that crowd?! Wow. After they finally got that equalizer, I was really impressed. They earned that point! I don't know if Cincy can keep this up, but they sure as hell do look considerably better than the Quakes already. It's both scary and sad to see an expansion team perform like that, after watching the two duds from our team thus far.

Actually, I'd want Zidane the player not the coach. At this point I'd settle for Almeyda the player on the Quakes too....

Aston Villa player Jack Grealish attacked by fan during the game against derby rival Birmingham City.

And then karma decides to make an appearance............

Grealish was actually attacked twice. If you watch the goal celebration, you’ll notice a steward in one of those yellow vests grabs him as he jumps in the stands, tries to shove him back over the wall (Grealish bumps a camera man and knocks his hat off) and then the steward tries to knee Grealish in the back. Aston teammates got upset and police came down and drug the steward away. Crazy.....

Stanford reportedly fired its head sailing coach, who was ensnared in the same scandal.

Who knew Stanford had a sailing team, that it evidently requires multiple coaches, and gives preferential admission to sailing "athletes"? Who do they compete against? Also, how can Stanford have a sailing team when Lake Lag is often an empty hole in the ground due supposedly to California's perpetual drought?

Sadly this means one of the best shows on television, The Good Place, will be forced to halt production

4 English teams entered the Champions League and 4 remain. City ruthlessly dispatched Schalke and the other 3 also all won on the road this last round. It will be interesting to see what the draw is.

If they were going to play on Ft. Lauderdale, couldn’t they have started the team sooner?

You got Atlanta and Cincy who came out of nowhere and Beckham was virtually given a free team. If that’s the case and they were going to play at Lockhart Stadium anyway , why wait until 2020? They could have done this 4 or 5 years ago.

    Go Ft.Lauderdale Strikers!
