If Atlanta manage to move Almiron they won't have too much trouble with the acquisition fee and the fact that they're willing to spend that kind of money to better their team speaks volumes.

The whole point of the blooper is that the GK forgot he could just let it go in and it wouldn't count but touched it when he lunged for it so it counted.

From one angle , it did not look like he touched it though.

Giovinnco is the best player ever to play in MLS! Wow, that’s high praise from Vanney!

Well, Giovinco's having a pretty mediocre year by his standards and Toronto are not a good team, so I think Vanney is hoping flattery leads to on the field improvement rather than a genuine belief that Giovinco is that good.

Heck, if Josef Martinez maintains his pace, he'll blow Giovinco and every other player away. He's played fewer than half the games Giovinco has and already has 49 goals. He's been almost good for a goal a game this year, which was almost unthinkable before now. Granted his assist numbers aren't nearly as remarkable, so there's that, but I think Vanney is simply being hyperbolic in the hopes that he can spark Giovinco to play better and entice him to stick around after real let down of a season.

This may be a little selfish of me, but I’d rather see Montreal edge out the Crew for the playoffs rather than than vice versa. I’d like to see Quincy make a difference and help his new team make the playoffs. The way DCU has been playing it seems they will pass both those teams.

    Wayne Rooney unrecognizable?

More evidence that people in DC are clueless. :)

All DC Diplomats and politicians care about is their re-election date. Not to mention all of their kick backs...

Didn’t realize it was a matter of interest but if you are keeping tabs, I leave for work at 4:45 am so I get up early.

Not that this makes the 4-1 --> 3-4 vs Atlanta any easier to stomach, but it looks like we'll see plenty more of that sort of thing with VAR
