Sources: Earnie Stewart finalizing deal to become USMNT's first GM Hmm, "Moneyball" doesn't really make sense at the national team level... Will Jay "Philly's BWP" Simpson file a one time switch to play for the USMNT? This could mean Curtin's days are numbered, and Matt Doyle is speculating that Berhalter could be the next USMNT coach: If Earnie Stewart's really going to be the #USMNT GM, then I'd wager that makes Gregg Berhalter odds-on favorite to get the head coaching job.— Matthew Doyle (@MattDoyle76) May 28, 2018 stuff I've heard from people in high places. Plus they go back 25 years and share similar philosophies on the game.— Matthew Doyle (@MattDoyle76) May 28, 2018 they absolutely should— Matthew Doyle (@MattDoyle76) May 28, 2018
Blue and red, eh. When the Quakes came back in 2008 I suggested they use a blue and red combo to honor both Quakes color traditions (we'll leave the celery to the Clash, thanks). But I was admonished. No, they look terrible together! You can't do that! Oh well...
Gotta remember this day. May 29, 2018. Earthshaker admitted falvo was right, and proved Jazzy wrong in the process.
USMNT jersey is fine, and was generally liked for its simplicity IIRC. Not a fan of blue and orange, or orange in general on a jersey, for multiple reasons.
Call it nostalgia or whatever but as ugly as they were, my favorite all time USMNT jersey's were from the 1994 WC held in the USA....
