Good! I'd rather watch the Aussies play than Honduras.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have anyone. MLS teams aren't exactly well oiled machines that make thoughtful, considered decisions. I get the impression that most decisions are influenced more by whether or not the GM/owner had a successful bowel movement that day than they are on if they think the move they make is in the best interest of the club. The only other decision influencer, which is logical, is whether or not they think making a decision, any decision, will prevent themselves from being fired (doesn't apply to team owners, obviously).

If Porter stayed at Akron, he would have had a guaranteed 10 year contract. Not sure if I'd leave the security of college for the pros. Probably why a lot of college coaches don't leave their programs....

Fire? I think he's got another, better, offer from an expansion team.

well now that i've read all the tweets and articles and such, it appears that Porter either got burned OUT or had a difference with Gavin Wilkinson.
Articles claim Porter has nothing cooking with any other team right now and that Timbers were caught completely off-guard.

Kinda like when Yallop left the Quakes??

    Edit: added “OUT”

So what happened to the SKC women’s team? Why didn’t SKC keep supporting it? I thought USSoccer is building all this stuff in KC...

What's his family situation? Could be easier if he is an empty nesta.

When the Chivas came up the first time, the Galaxy were pretty nervous. They even fired Sigi while was in first place for Spanish speaking Steve Sampson. I guess they thought the Mexican- American fans were going to get behind them and overtake them. With LAFC coming in, are the Gals planning on doing something big like building another stadium near downtown, Santa Monica or Beverly Hills or signing a big time player?
