I was just thinking of posting that. Tomasso rocchi , and now john carew. Next up dario hubner hihihi . The old inter is back..as dumb as it gets
Checking schedules, its very possible fiorentina finish 3rd. They have only Milan, Roma ( both at home) and Lazio ,Sampdoria ( away ) as tough games left. First 6 games they played Napoli, Juventus, Inter, Catania, Udinese, Parma top 10 sides in the league. Lazio's schedule is brutal
Dario Hubner - that is a name I've not heard in a while. That goalscoring season of his at Piacenza is still one of the craziest things I've ever seen, especially considering the strength of Serie A at the time. If he was transported to now, still the same age and form he hadin that season, he'd probably bang in 50 goals in this Serie A for Inter.
If we continue to play as we do in recent matches, third place will be for us. We play successfully against top teams, so everything depends on us. We can win against Fiorentina and Milan as guests, because we play against them successfully. In the last round we play against Napoli, but I think this match will not matter to them.
Didn't Fabio Cannavaro once say that John Carew was the toughest Striker he ever played against. Great Striker in his day but Inter should've gone with Van Nistelrooy if they wanted goals.
Yeah I don't wish what he's been going through on anyone. The US has had to deal with Stu Holden, he's just starting to play football again as well.
Didn't realise his knees were that bad, just came across this though http://forzaitalianfootball.com/2013/02/ruud-van-nistelrooy-turned-down-inter/ Inter should definitely struggle for goals now with their only true strikers being Carew & Rocchi, the latter can't score for peanuts.
For the type of player he is and the type of injury I doubt he'll ever be the same player, he could prove people wrong though.
Even if he is half as good as before that'd still be a decent deal. I don't think it'd be any worse of a deal than paying 17 million for Osvaldo. But of course IF is the big question and he could very well just end up like Owen or Hargreaves.
I wouldn't wish bad against anyone so I would love to see him healthy again. He seems like a nice enough guy and Florence will embrace him. As long as Florence stays down in Europa League spots where they belong, then I don't mind
His injury is quite serious though, especially considering they had to operate twice. Probability is against him, unfortunately. It's no secret his agent tried very hard to shop him. He was offered cheaply to more or less all the major players in Italy.
vintage Luca toni, borja valero gives him golden chance.. completly unmarked, and misses huge last chance. 2 - 1 bologna
