Looks like a blind flick over the top but he already has scanned the field followed by outside of the boot skim/sliced pass with perfect weight. He had every pass in the book and some he made up himself. I dont see Baggio having this wide a selection as a playmaker. You dont just turn style like this on when you want. You either have it or you dont so I dont buy the Baggio could have if he wanted to argument. 2 passes and they're up the pitch. Baggio would still be dribbling in midfield Sexy as his play was, this is genius direct football. Two genius players who brought similar but in other ways different skillsets to the table. Now put a prime Totti setting up Ronaldo, Raul etc and you have a multiple Ballon d'or winner recognised as one of the greats by even casuals.
Is it acceptable to call Carlo overrated yet? Or do we need to see another example of him being wrecked tactically and his players holding training sessions behind his back?
Yeah, I would tend to agree. Some people need to see a player on Real Madrid before they accept they're world-class, though. Outside of brilliant 1v1 moves, Totti was as complete as it gets.
Remember all the takes on how bad it was for Serie A to have Atalanta as one of their representatives in Champions League? Respect to Gasperini and all involved, regardless of how it ends https://t.co/cZmZTvraYD— David Amoyal (@DavidAmoyal) December 11, 2019 @falvo
What were you saying a couple months ago about them? I bet you feel pretty stupid right about now. LOL
They go through with 7 points: 2 wins, 1 draw, 3 losses Shaktar at 6, Dinamo Zagreb at 5. Tough group that was.
Inter with the same record at Atalanta. Inter scored 10, allowed 9. Atalanta scored 8 and allowed 12 for a -4 goal differential. Champions!
