Inter are absolutely crushing it this transfer window de'Vrij (free) Asamoah (free) Malcolm (7 million loan) Nainggolan (24 million + removing dead weight) Lautaro Martinez (17 million) Also negotiating for Dembele and Politano Icardi Perisic-Nainggolan-Malcolm Brozovic-Dembele Asamoah-de'Vrij-Skriniar-D'Ambrosio Handanovic That is a very strong team. That CB duo especially could be the best in Italy for many years. If they finish above us next season heads will be rolling.
This is a wait and see team. Is Malcolm confirmed? We’ll see how he acclimatizes as a young Brazilian , I wouldn’t expect him to hit the ground running in Serie A , or with Spalletti. There’s no guarantee there. But, he’s no joke if they manage him correctly. Dembele is a personal favourite of mine, so I certainly hope they don’t sign him. I’m not sure he quite fits with Spalletti, but we’ll see. De Vrij is a really nice player as well that should create a nice partnership with Skriniar. Asamoah is whatever. If we’re just judging them on paper , they need a better CM than Brozovic (defensively minded) and probably a better RB before I get too scared. Really, Skriniar and Icardi are the jewels and they were already there. Only the De Vrij signing bothers me at the moment. He could be a pillar if they were to ever build a long term contender. Obviously, if the Martinez and Malcolm transfers hit as well , it’s not good news for the rest of Serie A. They both have immense potential. Again though, Inter was always coming. If Inter somehow comes 1st and we come 2nd, then your head-rolling prediction might actually hold weight. But that isn’t going to happen. They won’t win anything important in the good years Radja has left. We’ve gotta do what’s right for us. Inter should be a Champions League team, regardless of Radja.. Bring it on.
Imo Miranda is still a better centre back than De Vrij and should be a starter next season unless De Vrij proves to be better in the matches where he gets to start.
I think Brozovic is fine. He can be inconsistent, but he also hasn't had the greatest partners in midfield. Vecino and Gagliardini are pretty meh, and I expect Dembele to be a big boost over both. Malcolm isn't official yet, but I assume they are waiting until after the 30th. Said to be a 7 million loan and another 28 million to make it permanent. Even if he doesn't hit the ground running right away, they'll still have Candreva and possibly Politano to pick up the slack on that side.
Malcolm is no where near official. Bourdeaux want 7m loan plus like 33m obligation. But inter can’t do an obligation because UEFA view that as a -40m minusvalenza already.
Madrid are trying to sign Timo Werner apparently. Icardi is probably getting a new contract that will increase his buyout clause to 160 million. Which I can't imagine anyone activating.
I don't think Icardi was ever going to go; most of it is just his wife trying to get a better contract. I don't see Icardi and Ronaldo on the same team. Brozovic was actually arguably Inter's best player in the last 10+ games of the season once Spalletti found his ideal role. His best midfield partner ended up being Gagliardini. Biggest issue for Inter will be that right side as D'Ambrosio/Candreva are not good enough.
#Napoli have reportedly offered a total of €75m for #Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa, including Adam Ounas and Lorenzo Tonelli. https://t.co/HhHC6Spe3w pic.twitter.com/SyDaRv63jq— Football Italia (@footballitalia) June 22, 2018
Wow. Unless Fiorentina’s owners plan on selling the team soon, I can’t see how they’d turn down that deal. Chiesa is a stud , but if you aren’t trying to actually build anything really competitive, you gotta take that cash, imo.
They are also after Suso. If they get Suso and Dembele they can win the scudetto. Handanovic with De Vrij, Skriniar, Brozovic, Naingollan, Dembele is very hard to crack. Roma and Napoli are just investing in youth. But I think top four is widening the gap unless Lazio sell Milinkovic-Saviv for 150M and reinvest the money.
ADL BS. We have this kind of nonesne in every transfer window. Nothing happens. He needs a few years and needs to play more. He has talent but does very selfish stuff.
Yes that is why I said he can be a star. Here was my opinion on him when signing for you fwiw. I have been following loosely Bordeaux for a while. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/ca...erie-a-part-ii.1996609/page-114#post-36033049
If he is lucky he will become a poor mans Insigne. Though both have issues knowing when to pass or shoot.

Until they play and develop we have no idea just how good they can become. Potential needs time. They learn and perfect their game by consistent playing time. As I said last year, he made the move to a bigger club too early and now instead of having another solid year under him where he may have kicked onto another level like Malcom, he's stalled. Probably partly his fault for lack of patience and partly a greedy agent looking a payday. You not understanding why Sarri wouldn't play him a lot last season is not surprising though.
