Good point. I believe they should spend it, but I'd rather it be on a guy that's going to see the field more than half the season. Now ... will we spend it on someone else? Who knows.

I wonder if Colorado would be interested in Albright. Albright, Phelan and our first or second rounder for Conor? It might seem like alot but sometimes you have to go the extra mile to fill a need.

There's very few single players we have that would tempt Colorado: Joseph (out of the question), Larentowicz (if he stays), Reis, Alston. Colorado isn't stupid enough to take Twellman or Ralston, given the injury questions.

In a multiplayer deal you might get them to bite on 1 of Albright or Phelan, but you'd have to sweeten it with Barnes. Plus a good draft pick. Seriously.

We have very few players that other teams want. If Casey forces himself on the market, I'm pretty sure we're in a crappy position relative to other teams.

You also have to ask, given his knees, is Casey a good fit for FieldTurf?

Don't think this was mentioned, but another non-surprise, Preki out at Chivas.

Also, RSL to have a new minority owner? From the article:

Make that 1:45-2 AM more likely. Lights out in the 19th minute of the game. Estimated 15 minutes to get them back on.

    Good game so far, otherwise.

This has gone from funny to sad... Lights are out again at the beginning of the second half. Luckily this game's on so late that maybe the media and American public won't catch wind of it. Talk about busch league and second rate, only in MLS. Becks' facial expressions are priceless, seems pissed that he's missing the Brazil friendly for this garbage.

I'll laugh if someone tries to criticize MLS for this. The power outage is apparently going on in the entire Carson area. People will say "hahaha MLS, hahaha can't even pay for electric bills..."

The only team that can't pay there electric bill is NY. Who else was there when the lights at Giants stadium went out (Although I think it was only half of them)

Yea WTF Garber! How can you let this power outage happen. How could not think about all the tens of people on the east coast who are trying to watch this late into the night. MLS is should be ashamed of themselves...

I love people who blame the league for every little thing...

I don't think there's a single person here blaming this on the league, however, it certainly doesn't help the league or its image in any way shape or form. It's hard to take a league seriously when one of the season's most important games has been interrupted twice, with each interruption spanning over fifteen minutes.

it's no big deal. blackout happen during sports. It's not common, but it's certainly not unheard of. Actually, it may be good for the league. a novelty story that will probably get picked up by a lot of media outlets.

and now, the whole world will know that landycakes is afraid of the dark;):D

if this game had started at a normal time (say, 7pm local, 10pm ET) then the delay would push it back to 12.30am rather than 2 in the morning.

anybody have any idea why the game was scheduled so late?

I'm guessing ESPN2's commitment to the College football game.

I know power outages are really not MLS or the Galaxy's fault, but could MLS have looked worse last night? Could the league have looked more amateur? I was actually excited to watch that game last night, the first time I've been excited to watch a non-Revs MLS game in a long, long, time, and that's how it turns out. It couldnt really look worse for the league to have a game like that marred by those power outages. For all the people that were so excited that the Revs didnt make the conference finals because it would look "pathetic" on tv, it wouldnt have been as pathetic as 40 minutes of halted play because of power outages.

I thought MLS showed really well despite the power outages. Harkes, JP, Lalas, and Foudy handled it very well, and never missed a beat in discussing the match and how this affects the two sides.

I really wish baby Becks could keep his mouth shut and stop acting like an armature. He mouths off the Refs after every call and gets into cat fights even after he wins. I still don't think he respects this league and regrets ever coming over here.
