True. They later updated the report and verified the two are actually headed to Bremen.

Looks like a mix of players wanting to leave, plus having to recuperate some finances from not qualifying for European competition. Unless Leverkusen has some quality replacements planned out though, they'll be at risk to miss out once again for another season after that.

Pedro critical of Barcelona's use of La Masia in recent years

The Chelsea player says the club have lost their philosophy a little
Barça have lost Jordi Mboula and Eric Garcia in the last two weeks

Former Barcelona player Pedro Rodriguez, now at Chelsea, has been critical of Barcelona's current policy with their youth team players.

In an interview on El Larguero on Cadena Ser, the Spain international said it's a shame the Catalan club are losing so many youngsters.

"We’re seeing a lot of kids leaving [La Masia] and, in my opinion, that’s a shame because I think [Barça] are losing the philosophy of the academy a little," he told Cadena Ser.

"Of course they’re still one of the world leaders in producing players, but years ago they were using those players in the first team more regularly.

"When I was there, we even had a whole side made up of La Masia graduates; it’s difficult to see that happening again today."

The forward added: It’s tough to play for Barça -- and Real Madrid -- when you’re a homegrown player, but I think the level is there for the players to play and, above all, be trusted."
