I also love that she wore a Croatia Trikot to the matches instead of a suit.

    4 in a row.

previous longest trends of winners from the same confederation was 2. This is double the number.

it'll be 20 years before anyone has a chance to unseat Europe, 2002 Brazil to 2022.

The only thing those f uckers deserve is to be stripped of their World Cup and Euro 2012 titles. It's embarassing that Germany was twice defeated by those assholes and allowing them to equal their Euro trophy tally. This Germany generation should have won more trophies than a mere World Cup and an unwanted Confederation Cup.

The DFB should have been more ruthless and sacked Löw.

If there is another failure then not only does Löw need to be sacked, but also the majority of the DFB board.

We are not the reigning World Cup champions anymore...it did hurt little bit when the final whistle blew today even though knew this is going to happen after the Korea match...

Anyway we will get the crown back in 2022!!

always found it interesting that Antoine Griezmann is of German descent from his father/surname and of Portuguese descent from his mom.

so at least one "German" won the WC this year.

If they find out they may try and switch him to their squad :)

I still find it humorous that Russia somehow got Mario Fernandes into their team when he only played for Brazil's FIRST team just over TWO years ago !!! ( the loophole was he played friendlies for Brazil !) ..

    Ridiculous !!!

Especially as he was one of their better players and filled the massive void they had at RB !!

Brazilians and South Americans in general are a huge reason as to why FIFA changed their eligibility rules. That continent exports players all over the world and then they seem to be fast-tracked so that they can get citizenship to play for another country. Like 10 years ago, I remember sooo many NT had like 1 Brazilian on their NT, lol.

looks like Dani Schahin had applied over a month ago for a one time switch going from Germany to Palestine NT.

    I believe he's eligible for
    Palestine-father
    Russia-mother
    Ukraine-born there
Germany-moved there in 96 and started to play football and developed there. Played in Germany from youth league to 2016. As well as an ex German Youth International, playing bench/sub role in one U20 WC.

Cameroon have named some old Dutch legends for their coaching staff.

    Manager: Clarence Seedorf
    Assistant Manager: Patrick Kluivert

will also be interesting to see if they lure any German-Cameroonian players.

David Silva has retired from the Spanish NT, joining Pique and Iniesta, those are all some losses.

Gareth Southgate admitted the pool of England players available for selection is dwindling as Premier League clubs continue to overlook their young stars.

However, Southgate is concerned that some members of his squad – like Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Marcus Rashford – have not had much game time in the opening weeks of the Premier League season.

"It has really serious repercussions for our national team," Southgate told a media conference.

"One of our biggest concerns is playing time for English players, shown by a number of the squad that came with us to Russia not getting opportunities to play. More concerning is that young players that may be coming through to challenge are not getting opportunities to play.

"The missing piece is this transition from youth football to senior football.

"There is still this link between 17 to 21 where the bridge into first-team football and the financial power of the Premier League has a big impact.

"I think it's worth us having that debate and getting people around the table to discuss that missing piece. If players are as good as any young players around the world, then that opportunity needs to be there.

"If we are encouraging young players about entering academies, we are selling them the dream and there's an ethical element there too."

Southgate also expressed his worry at the number of goalkeeping options available to him, especially with Jack Butland having dropped into the Championship with Stoke City.

"There are four or five maximum still playing in the Premier League," he added.

"Obviously Jack has dropped into the Championship and he's now going to have a challenge to stay in the squad.

"It's an area where we'd like more competition."
