Paolo Cannavaro was good actually. He wasn’t as good as his brother but no one else in the world was better either. Paolo played well at Parma and Sassuolo. If they had a foreign player limit as they had at one time, he will have continued at Naooli. Currently, Napoli has one Italian defender. Of course they won’t develop any when none are playing or not on the team. I don’t blame coaches or presidents all that much anymore because that’s the nature of today’s game and they want results at all costs. Still , it’s pretty crappy that I watch an Italian league match with few Italians playing. I’m not sure but I believe Daniele DeRossi is the last player who made it to the top squad from his youth team.
Mexes was 7x better than Paolo Samuel was 12x better Juan was 8x better Burdisso was 5x better Paolo is the perfect example - why Italians weren’t playing more. Because he was slightly better than average. Rather start Benatia, Marquinhos, Castan, or Manolas over him.
I was living in Italy when Paolo was with Parma and he played very well. He was ok for Napoli in Serie B and A and was about to be picked on the national team. I still remember the Domenica Sportiva when he was asked the question about it. Compared to the number of Italian players left, he will have been picked if he was 5 years younger. He will have never been able to follow in Fabio's footsteps but either has anyone else.
RIP Emiliano SalaThe best video I have seen of him 💚💛💙pic.twitter.com/md4ZtG3hMG— 🏴 (@waibooo) February 7, 2019 The plane and body were found and the body was identified as Sala's. RIP

Nkunku for PSG is the most frustrating player I have seen in a long time. Constantly circles with the ball and refuses to see forward passes Stevie Wonder could spot on a dark night.
Former USMNT defender Fernando Clavijo dies at 63! I exchanged posts with him last summer after Uruguay played France. He was under going cancer treatments and he would post on Facebook but I thought he had it beat. Poor guy he was a great player! RIP Fernando!
Fernando Clavijo was 38 years old on the 1994 USA WC USMNT and was maybe 8-10 years older than most of the squad and maybe even twice as fast. He was a great player and defender and much too young to leave this life RIP! Anyone else who still plays notice that Alisson and Co have inspired keepers to be more bold and try trickery? I've picked a goalie's pocket three weeks in a row because they thought they could round me in their own box.
Chelsea's last 3 matches, 1 W and 2 Ls, 5 goals scored and 10 goals conceded, but the really headline, all three games featured a clean sheet. 0-4, 5-0, 0-6.....fun
Abramovich has to be the problem, doesn't he? Common denominator for a club that constantly has the locker room turning on its manager.
You hear about Ramsey's contract from Juve? Wow. How're you feeling about Emery and the current state of Arsenal these days?
