Audi field is an 18k seater. It'd be a bit of stretch to get that to a decent size. Maybe the Skins will move back into the city and build a decent stadium. Otherwise, no way.
Yeah but that’s today. Can’t it be expanded in 8 years time? I remember all of the old relic stadiums were renovated and even expanded prior to 1994 and they only had 6 years to prepare as FIFA awarded the USA the tournament on July 4th, 1988.
Especially this year! I must say, FIFA must be so mad that the USA isn’t in it. Not so much for their horrid style of play but for ghe sponsorships and TV revenue that could be generated. On the soccer side, not having an Italy has to be for opposing and domestic fans. Even German , English , Brazilian , Argentine , French and Spanish fans would relish to see a local rival like Italy play. It may turn out to be a good tournament but so far, and unlike other years, I’m not at all excited about it.
