You're right it's not the 1930s, it's the 20-teens; and pep played similar shapes with Bayern just over a year ago...as did Nagelsmann (who's used 3 strikers, with a wide-forward & a winger on the flanks). It's aggressive; but when you've got Boateng, Hummels, Martinez & Sule to plant in front of manuel Neuer, you can be very aggressive. Especially when you have as much firepower as they do and an excellent quartet of midfielders (Thiago, Vidal, Tolisso & Kimmich).

I wasn't talking about what Carlo would do, I was talking about what I would do; and with that much CB talent I'd play a back three. While using Kimmich or Thiago as the metronome sitting behind Thiago, Vidal, Tolisso, Sanches (if not sold/loaned) and Alaba.

...who's a natural 8 and who's best performances came in the unique box-to-box CB position that Pep created for him to take advantage of those qualities from a deeper starting position; so putting him in the rotation at the 8 if Sanches gets sold/loaned is no radical thought.

As for the wide positions, they would be somewhere between wingers and aggressive wingbacks and would be tweaked according to the player; i.e. with Alaba starting out wide, the position would be more wing back than winger, vice versa when Ribery starts, and somewhere in between those two extremes if it's Gnabry.

    Lewy gunna Lewy.

That was just how I'd use the talent you have, not how I expect Carlo to. But I'm not the biggest fan Ancelotti's and think he often lacks creativity, so talking about what he'll do isn't as interesting...since I'm all but certain that he'd have Lexi and Robben playing tightly around Lewy, with Alaba being asked to be more aggressive at LB than Kimmich is at RB so that Lexi can play more centrally than Robben; while Sule rots behind Boa / Mats / Javi in a back 4, and Tolisso joins Thiago & Vidal behind the front 3.

Bavarian Juggalo, as I've stated before, trolling is frowned-upon here. If you want a board that isn't criitical of Bayern, you're in the wrong place.

And if he wants to engage someone who isn't critical of Bayern, I am the last person he should consider.

LOL speaking of closet fans, I still believe you're a closet BVB fan. The day Bayern get demoted your living room will turn more than a few shades yellow.

Not sure what he did was trolling. We will win the Bundesliga and go for Dembele. Facts or opinions doesnt seem like trolling.

Trolling is about more than factualness. It's also about tone and context. You weren't too thrilled when Slash was coming onto your boards stating his version of "facts and opinions" like so:
Were you? I think you know this, you're just being disingenuous about it.

Well then, take "you" to mean plurally, you the Bayern forum, who relentlessly hated Slash and gave him the nickname "bvbRash" IIRC.

Which is all in rivalry fun like peepee sleezbag. Slash has thick skin.

In the end. It's you who rules this board with your orange fist. So you can make the decisions. Just didn't think he was trolling.

I doubt Slash thought it was all that fun. I certainly got fed up after I got doxed.

A reference to Trump? How clichè. Anyways, nice of you to drop by.

You won't be able to afford Dembélé and there's a significantly higher chance that Hummels returns.

I think it's to become a bidding war we are not interested in...especially if we are reconsidering competing for Sanchez, who I prefer...

Then as a Bayern player he should say precisely that. Instead he says quite the opposite. Bayern just does not have a warm and fuzzy atmosphere that accepts occasional missteps and screw ups if you're normally a talented player. After 8 years here it's normal that he doesn't feel 100% comfortable there.

You most probably said or thought Götze wouldn't return either.

Lell didn't beat his gf while he was a Bayern player.

Had to look it up but Effenberg got into that altercation after his Bayern stint. http://www.rp-online.de/panorama/deutschland/arschloch-kostet-effe-100000-euro-aid-1.2070315

The rest all hold up. Not sure why they call themselves Hollywood FC. More like Crooks R Us.
