De Crook is to Stahre as John Spencer was to Kinnear. If Stahre goes, De Crook almost definitely goes with him. I doubt Stahre is going until the end of the season at the earliest.

This regime has little respect for its players or fans. At least Kinnear and Doyle seemed to respect the players while remaining largely indifferent to the fans.

For the situation to fall to these depths is a damning indictment on both Stahre and Fioranelli, whose incompetence and failure are out in the open for everyone to see.

DeCrook was hired by the Quakes last season, as I recall, so he's not Stahre's disciple.

And the notion that "this regime" has little respect for the fans is total fiction.

I agree that Stahre must go. I’d love to see Ian in charge. Even his soccer mom assistant coach would also be a good addiction to the staff!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Stahre joined the Quakes on November 24, 2017. De Crook joined in preparation of the 2018 season.

De Crook is Stahre's guy. Stahre hired de Crook to be his assistant with the Quakes. He worked for Stahre in China as well.

Apparently, some people can never admit error.

I think it's the other way around, but basically, they are joined at the hip, so it doesn't matter. No Stahre, no disciples of Stahre either.

So, sack Mikael and replace him with Steve Ralston for the short run. Try to get Marc Dos Santos or some similar coach in the medium to longer term. If Jesse isn't on board with this, he can go too. I'm sick of this crap.

    Go Quakes!!

You're jumping to conclusions about my unwillingness to admit error. I may be wrong about the timing of the public announcements. And to that extent I will admit I'm wrong.

However, I gave Gary Singh's Quakes history to both Stahre and deCrook, and I am pretty confident I gave it to deCrook last season. DeCrook is Jesse's guy. (He's obviously also Stahre's guy.) I've never viewed him as Stahre's assistant coach, because I don't think that is the reality (or least not the totality) of his role.

That's nice. Does not mean deCrook was not in San Jose meeting with Jesse in 2017.

No, I'm not engaged in conjecture. I'm engaged in recollection. I believe I met deCrook in 2017. And having looked into the matter to refresh my memory, I believe I first heard about deCrook when I met Jesse for lunch in early May 2017 (when Kinnear was still coach) at Farmers Union in downtown San Jose. My recollection is that Jesse introduced me to deCrook within a matter of weeks thereafter.

OR ... we could just keep Mikael Stahre because that's working out soooooo well.

    This is nauseating.

    Go Quakes!!

I'm not sure the way that Reno currently plays lends evidence for your criticism, there. It's okay to not want Russell as the coach, but I'd be willing to give him a shot. I think he's proved himself well enough so far.

Reno mostly play a diamond 4-4-2. It works for them.

In MLS, a diamond 4-4-2 would require some really exceptional players.

I dig Ian, but I'd rather he stay in Reno for now. We should grab an MLS assistant, like Marc Dos Santos or maybe Zoran Savic at SKC, or Nico Esteve or even Pat Onstad with the Crewless. Aleko Eskandarian might be a good pick too. There are lots of ways we could go. We could go snag someone from Europe again, but make his listen to Leitch and Ralston until he gets the hang of the league. We could try to snag an assistant coach from Saprissa or Alajuelense, so some quality club in South America. But we're going to keep Stahre, and then screw it up when we eventually replace him.

    crap!

    Go Quakes!!
    Fire Stahre!!

Just a few weeks later, Stahre’s tenure is even more of a clusterf*** than it was before, and the Quakes winless streak continues to grow... meanwhile O’Connor won a game to end Orlando’s winless streak, his one win (in two games) puts him just one win behind Stahre’s total from 20 games (and no list of random NFL coaches can refute that fact).

Also our players get Stahre’s bush league post-game lectures on the field, whereas Orlando players get this from O’Connor:

O'Connor defeated dreadful Toronto FC, whereas Stahre (and no list of random NFL coaches) has had the opportunity, so I wouldn't crown O'Connor's ass just yet.
