other Asian Footballer awards ?? (not related to AFC)

    I know in African football,
    besides CAF African Footballer of the Year award,
    BBC also hold BBC African Footballer of the Year award.....


    can some Asian corporations hold similar awards ??
    at least they will be better than AFC awards

    like in this year,
    do you think official 2010 AFC Asian Footballer will be Japanese, Australia, (South & North)Korean players??

    Didn't the Asia-Oceania Soccer Handbook have an Asian player of the year award? Whatever happened to that publication?
