Figure I might as well start a new thread for these 2 games: http://www.ad.nl/ad/nl/1049/Oranje/...edelijk-met-Clasie-en-Narsingh-in-basis.dhtml Looks like a 4-3-3. I dont like Afellay though, should be Depay instead -----------------------------------Cillessen-------------------------------- VdWiel----------------De Vrij--------------Martins Indi---------Blind Clasie----------------------------Sneijder------------------------de Jong Afellay--------------------------Huntelaar---------------------Narsingh
I have to agree with Hiddink and take Wiel over him, based on his 2-tournament experience. Especially how well he played in 2010 world cup
Against Spain I wanna see a total different team. Lets see how the newbies do. So something like this: -------------------------Jasper-------------------------- Janmaat--------de Vrij------Veltman------Willems Clasie------------------Nigel-----------------Klaassen Promes------------------Dost-------------------Depay
Looks like DeGuzman, Janmaat, Klaassen and Promes will get starting spots: http://www.ad.nl/ad/nl/1049/Oranje/...or-De-Guzman-Janmaat-Klaassen-en-Promes.dhtml
De Guzman...really? Such a weird pick for me. He is not NT quality at all. Still, nice to see Janmaat, Klaassen and Promes getting some time they all can be good for us. As long as BMI is there though I expect good things for Spain. So this is the projected XI? Janmaat - De Vrij - BMI - Blind Guzman - De Jong - Sneijder Promes - Huntelaar - Memphis ?
Looks like both Spain and NL will field B-teams: http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/v...423/__Spanje_met_B-elftal_tegen_Oranje__.html
I dunno if I would consider that Spain squad a B team. They should be starting De Gea anyway as he's their best keeper. Fabregas and Cazorla have been better than other Spanish midfielders from the NT this season also.
He is a starter with Napoli and will play the europa league quarters, that gives him more rights to be considered as NT material than all the eredivisie players.
When he plays more than 60 minutes for Napoli they have 9 wins, 7 losses and 4 draws. He is not a bonafide starter for them (he has as many sub appearances as starting) and they have a better record without him than with him.
I really hope that a win here won't keep Hiddink in the job. If anything, this match prooves why he was such a failure up until now - he had all those good players right under his nose and he refused to use them, which costed us bigtime. I'm extemely happy to see Klaassen getting his debut goal. He's one of the few new generation players that I believe in their future career. Let's hope he'll have many more moments like this.
Two nice goals but some poor, defending that was somehow not punished by Spain. Both Depay and Narsingh tracking back well.
Wow, the ball passing was amazing on BOTH teams. Dutch were very good. I wanna single out Klaassen, Depay, Sneijder, Blind, Willems and Vermeer. Weak points: Narsingh, Hunter and BMI
Because its only a silly friendly, and Spain have their (partial) B-team out. But we also have our B-team out, so all shit evens out. Nice game though
Depay is finally having a reference game against a good team. He is doing absolutly great, dribbles, combinations and also tracking back. Willems has been 50/50 and slightly disappointng for me, he adds offensive threatening but he lost many dangerous balls defensivly, he really lacks concentration sometimes. The midfield is doing good, Blind is bringing more football than Nigel and Klaassen played great. Sneijder has been correct but less good than the two others in my opinion, he spoiled some of his first touchs. De Vrij has been almost perfect behind, BMI had a big mistake against Pedro but otherwise decent, I liked his passes. The right side is a bit invisible with both Janmaat and Narsingh playing back or laterally without trying anything. But that's a bit logical cause the left side is attracting the ball.
When Vermeer is on he is a quality keeper. The problem is he is too inconsistent. Like I said Promes, Dost and Veltman should be starting over Narsingh, Hunter and BMI! Hoping for a strong second half.
