My 2 cents: De Light looked afraid and that's something that concerns me. A little disappointed with Bergwijn performance. We need him on the wing not in the middle. Memphis is Memphis. Brilliantly at times but also can reach an incredibly low level sometimes. Dumfries missing some attacking but I like him a lot and good crossing. Not the best game from De Jong but still the best midfielder today. So elegant and classy. Will mark an era like Robben or Sneijder. Wijnaldum needs to appear more but still a great game. It's really hard to take a ball from him nowadays. Blind nothing going forward. Ok in defense but today we needed a more attacking minded left back. De Roon awful game today. Not good in possession either. Still I'll put him over Propper every single day. Babel is still surprisingly useful, Stengs and Bergwijn hopefully will be the future. Van dijk a couple of small error but yeah he is the best CB in the world currently by some miles. Oozes class everytime he steals a ball. So neat and smart that's its crazy. Doesn't look a Dutch Dutch CB lol. We need a better game against Germany. Luckily for us it will be in Holland so we should be fine. They are not playing that well either. You can see that today our players were nervous it seems there is a lot of pressure since we missed world cup and euro. Will improve eventually but we have the right core. Mentally the team seems to be improving and Koeman for now is the right coach 1000%.
I dont agree he looked scared, he just didnt have a good game. Thats to be expected, he's only 19 and young players like that are almost always inconsistent. I'm hoping he saved his best for the Germany game
Shaky. Just shaky, mainly on the second half. That save from Cilessen a guy won his back and then he allowed him to try a shot on goal that resulted in Cillessen's save. Don't get me wrong he is doing great for a 19 years old it's just that today I didn't see the De Light from Ajax vs Madrid.
He is not creative enough and with a team like Belarus he needed be more authoritative and running the show in the middle. how may shorts did he have on the goal apart from his tap in. The midfield for me was really flat and this was evident with Depay and Bergwijn dropping in the middle. Being said this when propper came on all the three midfielders were playing at the same rate and dong the same thing, going back and forth which was just ok vs a team like belarus. Im not sure this will work with the germans. No he is not. He his just an efficient midfielder. Liverpool need a attaking midfielder big time. Fekir etc. Every second game Wijnaldum turns to be a ghost. You can cross check this with his Liverpool games as well.
Tete has played very little for lyon and should have been deemed to be unfit but like I always say, Koeman wouldnt have expected Dumfries to get injured and hence Tete was just there to make numbers.I mean this is where I always emphasize on the need to rotate players for good back up options. Off course tete has had a fair share of playing time at NT level and defensively offers more stability, the fact that he hasnt played much should have not been overlooked. Thats what happened, I cant remember him warming up to that of propper and luuk on the side lines. How the hell you can have a pull hamstring on the very first touch of the football. Hateboer, Janmaat or karsdorp should have been called up instead. Imagine if this was a crunch match and they had to play with 10 players.
