LAFC AND ORANGE COUNTY BLUES FC ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR PARTNERSHIP
    [IMG]

With LAFC set to take the pitch in 2018, the partnership will provide LAFC the ability to loan players to Orange County as soon as 2017 and provide fans the opportunity to see some of LAFC’s future MLS stars on display in Orange County.

LAFC players on loan to Orange County will be provided with a unique opportunity to develop in US Soccer’s fastest-growing and most dynamic professional league while Orange County soccer players will be provided with a clear pathway to reach the highest level of American soccer with LAFC.

Yikes, talk about super generic. That said I guess it matches up with their affiliate club a bit better than the current name.

Makes sense. Let's LAFC get some exposure in both sides of the sideline for heir players and potential fans. Now if the Blues could get themselves in a venue worth of this setup...

I'm hoping they can move to Cal State Fullerton for next season. Going more south OC would be to far for me to attend any games.

With that new web address it seems confirmed that they're looking for more than just a new logo. Goodbye Blues.

Several LAFC supporters who go to secret meetings and post on Twitter are saying they saw some options for the OC Blues rebrand and they were all, and I quote, "awesome".

I hope someone leaks all the options, I'd like to see them all (as we did with OKC and Charlotte, among others) instead of just the final pick.

Hopefully the name is "awesome" too, not just the logo. OCFC wouldn't exactly be "awesome" IMO.

The Orange County Blues have announced they will hold open tryouts January 14-15 at Oak Creek Community Park in Irvine. The now-annual tradition has resulted in a player from the tryout making the roster the past two years — Nikola Ilich in 2015 (he returned last season, too) and Dusan Stevanovic in 2016.

The tryouts might take on a bit more meaning this year, too, with the partnership with MLS expansion team Los Angeles Football Club in mind. Surely MLS scouts have continually watched all of USL over the years for prospects, but the partnership means LAFC will have increased scrutiny over the players on Orange County’s roster in 2017, and who knows, if a player really shines at the tryout and then with the USL side, there could be more to come in his pro soccer dreams.

Damn I missed calling it by one letter. I figured they'd go with OCFC like their partner is LAFC. Still OCSC partnered with LAFC. It's an abbreviation lover's dream.

They couldn't - the new D4 team beat them to it.

There is no D4. But which of the sub-D3 leagues does OCFC play for?
