Today marks ✌️ years of @VLindelof at #MUFC! #FlashbackFriday pic.twitter.com/IlrzpRc9Z2— Manchester United (@ManUtd) June 14, 2019
New deal for Lindelof, hadn't heard anything about this one. https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/victor-lindelof-signs-new-contract-with-manchester-united
Our defence is sorted for years. With young players coming through too, the only position we might need to add to is LB. We can improve at CB but we are in a good place right now. We need to sort out Angel and a couple of others but this is some important shit we're quietly getting done.
He's one who needed to get done, with clubs (Barca among them) who tried to grab him this summer. He promptly shut any talk of him leaving down. Plus, both he and his wife have made it clear that they are settled in Manchester. Very happy about this: can really see him and Rock making an excellent partnership once they fully become familiar with one another.
(apart from Calamity Jones being on this list and needing another LB) Only midfield and upfront to sort out! 1174361425470480386 is not a valid tweet id
Used to be all for bringing a veteran LB to back up/challenge Shaw after AY's contract runs out next summer. But with Williams (and even Laird) looking like very viable prospects, I'd look at bringing one of them up to the senior team as soon as next season (if they go on having the season they have so far). The backline is really no longer a worry at this point for us.
People are always too confident that just because things look settled now they will remain that way. Wasn't long ago Bailly would have been #1 on that list in terms of young defenders we were building around, and less than 12 months ago many were ready to bin Lindelof. Right now defense looks like the least of our worries but the depth is still quite suspect and situations evolve rapidly.
It’s an honour to play for this club and I can’t wait to do so for many years to come. My future is only red. #MUFC pic.twitter.com/LZc63Ynib2— Victor Lindelöf (@vlindelof) September 18, 2019 Interesting to hear players speak about a vision about where the club is headed (Dave yesterday, Lindelöf today). I can definitely see Ole pushing that narrative (just as I can understand the players buying into it). The only concern is that I hope that Woodward hasn't sold Ole (and the players) a bill of goods he will not fully follow up on (as he's done in recent years).
I still have hopes for Bailly. He’s made of glass, but as a 2nd or 3rd CB, I’m hopeful we won’t rush him back from knocks and give him ample recovery and rest time. Our depth could use work, but if we have Maguire, Lindelof, Tuanzebe and Bailly we aren’t doing terribly.
Lindelöf is unfazed by Mourinho's recent criticism of him. https://www.skysports.com/football/...o-criticism-after-man-utds-defeat-at-west-ham
Well done on Lindelof winning the Swedish Golden Ball back to back. He now needs to find some consistency back with United, with his play being far too erratic this season.
Pingged a gr8 ball long to Rashford against Brighton... he needs to rmbrace physical side of game aswell.
Lindelöf has revealed in an interview with the Swedish press that he's been on antibiotics for some time, due to an issue with an infected toe. It was an ongoing issue and it would go some way in explaining his inconsistent form so far this season. He mentioned it's resolved and behind him now. It showed this past weekend, with him putting in a solid display vs Brighton. Here's hoping that this problem was the cause for his patchy form and he can return to the level he had shown last term.
You can't spell 'victory' without Victor 😉What a block, @VLindelof 💥 pic.twitter.com/SydObVe2GP— Manchester United (@ManUtd) December 9, 2019 Love seeing that kind of reaction from a defender honestly: preventing a big chance for goal should definitely make one pumped. And it is as much cause to celebrate (albeit shortly of course) as actually scoring a goal imo. Lindelöf has been really top notch in the past few of games, interestingly enough, since there had been calls for his removal.
Ok Victor, what in the actual f..k?!?!! It may your wife's birthday and you're trying to be a good (and funny?) husband. But you're crossing lines there.... At the very least, he should have prevented his wife from posting that on her IG: some things are best kept private...
pssshhhh. he's got nobody to impress. if that's his and her thing, or if they find it funny then more power to em
Nope, but the idea that he's 'crossing a line' because he put on a dress as a joke for his wife? People should do what the hell they want to as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else or stop others from doing what they want to, within reason.
Maybe he's crossing a line with his specific choice of women's clothing. It looks like Christian Bale's wearing an electrified burlap sack.
