Some of us can relate to this.....a Udinese supporter who was the only fan for his club at their recent away match at Sampdoria. Pretty cool. http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/13/sport/foot....html?hpt=hp_t4
Kudos to him! I saw this and immediately thought of all the lower division fans that travel to support their teams here in the us. What amazes me, is that where ever I have traveled to watch the Battery, I have always run into another Battery fan. Might be a friend or family of a player, someone who used to live in Charleston or something like that.
Serie A has been having major attendance problems in the past decade. With the exception of Milan, Inter, and Juve, the teams have been struggling at the gate. As for the picture with the fan, it reminds me of my first soccer match I went to last year, I was the only Caps supporter on the south side of Red Bull Arena, but I was far from the only fan there for the Whitecaps.
