Kenny has been going on implying that particularly Xavi is somehow a lesser player because he’ll almost certainly spend his entire career with one club.

He is winning trophies galore with by far the best team in the world and one of the greatest teams of all time and plays in a system that is perfectly suited for him surrounded by brilliant teammates. Why in heaven’s name would he possibly want to go anywhere else?

Kenny’s a huge Serie A fan, so does that mean that Maldini, Baresi and Totti are diminished because they played (or will play) their entire careers with one club, because they didn’t “prove themselves elsewhere"?

Would Pele and Beckenbauer have joined the pantheon of all-time greats without their swan songs at the Cosmos? Was it his final two seasons at Preston that really cemented Bobby Charlton’s reputation? C’mon...

Implying? I doubt if you asked him whether or not being at one club speaks less about a player's ability he wouldn't say it did.

Well he keeps saying how come Xavi doesn't play with another club? Would he fit in at Spurs or Milan etc...

Is the reason why he gets paid handsomely and loves the region? Why leave Barcelona for the Midlands?
