Nothing official yet but the LA beat writer is reporting that it has already happened.

As a fan of MLS, I hope we never see Curt Onalfo as a head coach ever again.

As a fan of the Philadelphia Union, I hope somehow Curt Onalfo bounces back from this to somehow coach every single team in the league simultaneously.

Well, if J Dos Santos is arriving, and with LAFC set for next year (?), LA needed someone folks would listen to in charge.

Makes sense, outside of hiring a respected foreign coach.

This is the part where if I was on twitter and important I would be deleting all the mean things I used to say about Sigi when he was Seattle's coach.

Bravo Galaxy. I don't love Sigi but he is certainly competent which is not the case with Curt Onalfo. We need new eyes in the organization. Not someone who has been trying to justify is last 4 years of employment by leaning on USL players that have never been and will never be good enough.

It's because he's a high quality MLS coach that the Galaxy should never have fired! :coffee:

Sigi was born in Germany. Best of both worlds!

The craziest thing about Onalfo's time at the Galaxy is this:

    HomeAway7-27.png

Worst in the league at home.

    Best in the league away.

And it has been just like that since at least May.

Welp... Seattle is at LA on Saturday... That game just got a whole heck of a lot more interesting.

Think Evans moves to LA as a free agent in the off season?

Nobody loves Sigi. Possibly because he's about as unlovable as it's possible for a man to be. He makes Bruce Arena look positively cuddly.

But the man lives in Manhattan Beach, just a stones throw from whatever they call that complex now.

And the fact is that having a coach with one of the best MLS resumes ever - only Arena comes close - walking his grandchildren around while that imbecile Onalfo coaches the Gals is insane.

Saint Doug of Carson and his pal Cobi wanted him gone when the team was in first place.

The last description I would use for the combination of Sigi and the Galaxy is "new".

I'm more worried about Sigi pulling staff to LAG.

Good point but he is at least new to the current crop of players and that is what I meant.

Curt had an incentive to pretend our USL players were MLS worthy to justify what he's been up to for the last 4 years down at Los Dos.

Next step in Mbar fantasyland is sacking Peter Vagenas in the off season, moving Sigi to GM and finding a younger head coach.

He's never been the Bruce Arena " these are my guys" kind of coach. Anyway, Arenas key assistants are Sarachan and Onolfo, neither of whom have a future anyway.

Sigi can work with anyone who follows directions and keeps his mouth shut. Hell, he might even hire you if you can get there quickly enough.

This is just me talking out of my ass, but it almost feels like Onalfo was a placeholder while LAG negotiated with Sigi?
