Pretty sure he's been on the score sheet in every friendly he's played in thus far. If he could lock down a starting spot, that would be huge.

He seems like an almost surefire bet to get minutes this season. If he plays well he could make a lot of noise as the next big thing at winger for the US. Green and Perez have fallen off so it's possible.
You just don't know based on preseason. Carter-Vickers played a lot last preseason, was a starter in preseason, played four matches during the season. Don't get me wrong, I think Gaines has some promise, but he's playing in a league comparable to MLS, not the Bundesliga. Is anyone calling for Brandon Vazquez to be called up to the NT because he's doing reasonably well at the same age in MLS? If he's one of the better wingers in the 2. Bundesliga this season, I think he should be a NT consideration, but thats highly speculative. He's always had some potential, but I think those two you named (Green and Perez) are still more talented, even if they are getting less hype right now.
I didn't mean he'd get called up. I meant he'd be a name that starts getting attention as a guy presumably excelling at 2.Bund. Even if he's all that I don't expect him to make it over Rowe, Arriola, Llegett, etc for this WC next year. I do however expect him to be part of that next wave that whoever is hired after Arena should be focusing on post WC.

This is a young one, was sold with an option to buy back after a year. He is 19, a winger. All reports are saying he can run like the wind. From the few clips that I can find... he is a lanky, fast and plays the right wing.
