As many have noticed, in case not all, Germany team have been always favored by referees. The last referee's error El Mannschaft suffered was the disallowed goal by klaus Fischer against France in the semifinal of 1982 tournament. However, in that very game, the official had already ruled out a clear goal for France, and also turned a blind eye towards the Kung Fu style that the West German players had implemented to win the game which eventually resulted in sending Patrick Battiston to the emergency room grasping his last breaths before he was rescued by the ambulance, while Schumacher continued the game and lead his team win the penalty shootout. It is more that thirty years since I witnessed that error against Germany. on the other hands, other teams such as England, Italy, Argentina, Netherlands and Brasil had to deal with the poor performance the referees showed in WC 2014. only Germany was protected, as always.
