Este muchacho es demasiado lento para la posicion, tiene poca dinamica y no tiene un gran toque (es bueno, pero no tiene el techo digamos para llegar al nivel de Guardado).

Creo que no le va a alcanzar para jugar en el primer equipo del Porto, sin embargo puede hacer buena carrera en Europa jugando en algún equipo chico.

Espero equivocarme pero no veo nada especial en Govea.

He's HH-lite but takes much less risks. I like him as a player and he'll be in top 4 league by next year imo.

 

I see him being better than hh. Lets not forget this is his first season in 1st division. 1st year and he is undisputed starter and a captain.

 

Being an undisputed starter and a captain are not metrics by which he can be compared to Herrera.

He doesn't possess the physical abilities of Herrera so right off the bat, it would be hard to say he'll be better than Herrera, who at 24, competed against the best midfielders in the world in a World Cup and bested them.

It also goes without saying that Govea possesses different qualities compared to Herrera.

 

Today, Govea went the full 90 in REM's 0-1 loss to Genk.

Herrera is definitely better right now I won't even argue that. What I meant was being better as in the future. I didn't word it right.

As for physical abilites herrera was scrawny too he got big at porto.

Why can't we compare two players that can play in the same position even if they possess different qualities?

I just think govea has more potential considering his current trajectory.

 

It so tiring reading us every time there is a younger player we start comparing him to other current players and already wanting them displaced. Can't we just let players develop and play out?

 

Like I said Herrera is the better player. I didn't say he should be replaced. I just highly rate Govea and think he is being developed better.

I don't think it's a bad to compare youngsters to older players as long as it's realistic. It's not like I am exaggerating or hyping him up to be the next pirlo.

 

Govea nunca será mejor que Herrera, nunca.

No es mejor en nada, me atrevo a decir que Govea ni siquiera tiene el potencial/calidad para ser titular con el Porto.

Héctor ganó músculo con el Porto pero siempre tuvo una stamina impresionante, lo cual Govea no posee ya que es un jugador bastante lento para la posición.

Espero equivocarme pero este es mi analisis, Govea es buen jugador pero no tiene gran potencial.

Me acuerdo que lo mismo decían de Pineda, y no, tampoco es de esos tintes.

De hecho hay muy pocos prospectos mexicanos que van a llegar al nivel de las estrellas actuales.
