Tigres puts one in via Gignac at 93.5'.

    Offside.

Pachuca sees it out. Gonzo locks up starting for rest of WCQ. I would say locks up starting in Russia. But who knows. We have Gonzo playing centerback in qualis.

I can't believe Omar is CCL champions. Lol.

If he starts for the NT we're in trouble.

Hey, so is Ventura Alvarado. And Jose Torres. (Not sure if there have been any other YA's since they switched formats in '02 or whenever.)

Winning CCL isn't a high bar. Now they'll go on to lose to Evergrande or Auckland City or that powerhouse known as Raja Casablanca.

As long as we don't have the genius to put him in 3-5-2 we gonna be fine.

A league title and regional title all within a year and a half leaving Galaxy...not too shabby

He's like the CONCACAF Timmy Chandler! (personal performance, obviously Frankfurt nor Chandler has racked up the silverware.)

Not a good comparison. Omar has had a very good club career, which you can not say about Chandler. This is the first full season that Chandler had played very well

Rumors that Omar is poor for country is a major exaggeration. We went throw this with Bornstein. Looking akward not equal playing poor.

I disagree. And I base it not on rumors, but my eyes and his performances.

Maybe he's going throw a rough for years. Don't want him to through another important result thow.

Hate to be a grammar nazi but pretty sure you meant four years, not for years.

But I generally agree, despite battling threw all odds an wining CCL, Omar never been able to push threw his mental barrier w ith the NT and is good four at least won bone headed akward mistake every game.

I don't really think it's any different for club. Omar's form, when adjusting for level of play, isn't that far off.

Omar Gonzalez and Pachuca drew 2-2 last night against Cruz Azul on a last-minute header by Conejo Perez (!), but Pachuca needed 1 more goal.

Pachuca will finish the Clausura in 10th place. They surrendered the fewest goals in the league (14), but they scored the fewest goals in the league (13).

He was also solid in the qualifiers leading up to Brazil and it was a stupid idea for Jurgen to start Alvarado over him in the last Gold Cup. Cameron (if he can stay healthy) has probably passed Omar, but the guy has had a fine career for the NT and should definitely be in the squad regularly.

I erred in my count of the number of matches played in Mexico, because the Clausura has its 17th and final round of matches this weekend. Pachuca needs to win to have a chance to advance.

Gonzalez commented on Conejo Perez's surprise goal last weekend:

Gonzalez went 90, and Pachuca defeated Club America 3-2 on a topsy-turvy final day. Pachuca's win ended up eliminating both teams, as a last minute goal by Monarcas condemned Club America to 9th place and Pachuca to 10th place.

Was paying more attention to Mexico than to the US players but he had a good game from what I saw. Alonso is very rigid in his tactics but in case he ever changes at least we know Omar can play in a line of three.
