I haven't been watching the whole time but I think the 74' was the first time I saw Hyndman touch the ball since I turned on at the start of the 2nd half.
Refs never know how to handle these matches. Either they don't send people off when they deserve it or they're way too strict in an attempt to "control" the match.
The worst I've seen Celtic play, and in the second half it's been their own making. Rangers have opened up, theoretically it should have been good for Celtic. Sinclair and Dembele with their worst matches in a while, crazy decision to take off Armtrong, horrible pitch, just the perfect storm of shit.
LOL, that's our boy!! He appeared to be asserting himself in the game in the minutes before his blocked shot assist. He had really not been in the game much untill about the 80th min or so.
Well that was pretty painful. Celtic played into Rangers hands and the draw was a fair result. A little relieved though as I think this will wake us up for the cup match. Hope it was entertaining for you all!
Fun game to watch even if it wasn't a good game to watch,., if that makes sense. Emo: Really not involved in the game outside of 2-3 moments in the last 15 min. Good: - the quick turn and rip from the 18 was sweet. Nice save from keeper as the shot was going on, great rip by Emo. Hill buries rebound. Tav with the nice layoff to Emo. - 75' he finally gets ball at midfield and pushes it past his man to go on the break. That's his patented move, too bad it rarely happened this game. - defensively worked really hard to shadow the play and tracked his man well. Put in a ton of effort there. Bad: - was invisible for most of the match, I get the Old Firm is different but big players own big games. Would like to see him go and demand the ball to force his way into it. - it's not his game, but just little to no bite. Couple battles towards the end but a game like this would like to see him get stuck in a few times. This is not unlike a concacaf game, scrappy and mentally tough. Finesse doesn't show well. Overall, great experience, did fine when he had the ball but went missing for too much of the game. Great rip at the end to create the goal.
In principle, I agree with most of what you're saying. But I am not sure how he could demand the ball any more than he did and maintain his responsibilities. His teammates either dribbled with their heads down or booted it long immediately. I saw him calling for passes from great positions several times and the other guy never even looked.
