He's never had a contract with KC so I assume it's a signing. I'm sure KC is keeping an eye on him though. He's played with KC's reserve team previously.
I wonder if the MLS rules allow for SKC to retain the HGP eligable players "MLS rights" given he signed outside of the league. Similar to teams retaining player rights for draft picks choosing to sign abroad instead of with the MLS club. Will be interesting to see how this plays out/evolves. That would make sense if Galaxy acadamy players play for the Galaxy II squad without Galaxy losing their "MLS rights".
good luck to all at the tryouts this weekend. I will be there supporting a few of my friends who want to give it a go!
Steven Goff @SoccerInsider 10h Looks as though ex-US youth int'l GK @SamirMBadr (#dcu academy, Egyptian league) has signed with USL Pro expansion @EnergyFC in OKC
I've only heard the name when the academy for DCU has been discussed, but seems like an excellent pickup.
http://www.kansascity.com/2014/02/18/4833577/who-will-sporting-kc-send-on-loan.html Just a possible peak at what some of the options would be for OKC from SKC. I think Kempin is a given. Ellis is a strong possibility. Wouldn't be shocked to see a Bunbury or Soony Saad down there when SKC is only playing MLS League games ... but not for season long type of loans.
Looks like Bunbury was traded today. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...referral&utm_content=News&utm_campaign=Unpaid
Yes, the Bunbury trade does make my comment a bit less likely ! Not sure what it does with Soony since that depth has taken a hit as well. Depends on what they do with the allocation money as well!
The Jennings Clark signing is what really caught my eye - I believe his family is heavily involved with OKCFC, and he played for them in PDL last year. Very interesting...
http://www.sportingkc.com/news/2014/03/duke-and-kempin-join-okc-energy-fc Kempin and Duke joining OKC as their two affiliates from KC.
Kempin started with Orlando's captain and #1 choice keeper was out for the first part of the year, he did well but they went back to their captain. Kempin is viewed by many as the GK of the future at SKC and just needs some more games and I think he'll get them in OKC. I think he will be viewed as your #1 Keeper soon. Duke played well for Orlando and even started the Championship game for them. I think he had 1 goal and 1 assist for them last year and should be a part of your midfield rotation. For anyone who has gone to the games, what formation have they been running? Prediction on the starting lineup with the current roster in mind?
