Was trying to decide the best thread to paste this 2019 MLS ball picture and decided there wasn't a good one yet, so I made one I feel like it could hypmotize a goalie if struck properly (yes I can spell right proper if'n I want) Also, I guess Garber's contract is running thru at least 2019 and he doesn't plan on any big scandals costing him his job
I think it's nicer than the "maxi-pad" World Cup ball from a few years back, but that's an admittedly low bar
Does anyone know when they did away with that thing where MLS Cup champs got to play with a silver ball at home the following season? I remember that being a thing those years when LA kept beating Houston
Sorry to hear this. D.C. United’s Taylor Kemp announces retirement https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2018/11/07/dc-uniteds-taylor-kemp-announces-retirement/
I posted that earlier, but then deleted it since it's already been mentioned in the 2018 thread I'm gonna miss him. He caught a lot of shit on this forum that he didn't deserve. It was obvious how much he was missed this season even though we got a good left back to replace him. I'd rather have had two good left backs to push each other and get proper rest.
And for what's he up to now - And if you’re wondering what I’m doing now—currently in Paris about to set out on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. A 6 week, 500 mile, pilgrimage from southern France to the northwest corner of Spain. Follow along ➡️ @OPPilgrim pic.twitter.com/WCucR77HvP— Taylor Kemp (@Tkemp02) November 7, 2018
So, he essentially took a break from college and backpacking thru Europe to play MLS soccer? I distrust anything called a pilgrimage, but hope he has fun.

Now that the season's over we can all release our collective breath that Steven Birnbaum made it through without any head injuries. Now the top priority for DC has got to be finding a central defender to match up with him. Kendall Waston wants out of Vancouver and Roman Torres is sitting on the bench for Seattle. Waston seems like a bit of a locker room cancer but he somehow managed to not get red carded even once this season.
I ********ing hate Roman Torres. He's a human wrecking ball. He did. I don't recall if he missed games though.
I thought I read that he played every minute for us this season (not counting time on sideline dong meaningless quick concussion assessment before being waved right back on by ref). But I also seem to remember him still throwing his head into dangerous positions and laying there on the ground once or twice earlier in the season.
Absolutely. I see no reason why Joseph Mora shouldn't be United's first choice left back going into 2019.
I wouldn't take anyone off of that Vancouver team based on how their season ended and all the shit that went on in that locker room. He may well have nothing to do with it, but you'll never get a straight story on what happened and right not this team is awfully cohesive. Not sure I mess with that any more than necessary. High character should be a prerequisite for someone coming to this team based on how these guys stuck together and rallied in the 2nd half of the season.
