Just did a quick check of Transfermarkt. According to the site, Kenny has only played one (1!) match as a left back his entire career. Do we really want to play someone at that position with almost literally no experience playing there?

I mean, ideally no, but the alternatives are, uh...lacking.

If you look at Transfermarkt market values (I know, not the best metric, but it's easy), we've got Castillo (ugh), Villafana (UGH), Garza (eh), Morrow, Tierney, Toia, etc. It gets rough pretty quickly.

Guys talking about the national team is as divisive as Euro/ MLS and trump/ rest of world. It has no place here so please stop.

I've never understood why it's a forum policy to ignore half of a player's career.

It isn't half a players career, and this particular forum is for YA, not USMNT.

I used to see it like you, but the quickest way to derail a YA thread and see it go to shit is begin discussing their Nats career. Go back and read some the garbage posted during the intl breaks when the YA rules are relaxed and whether you agree with the policy or not, you can certainly see it has a purpose.

That purpose is to keep this place civil and relevant and not turn it into a cesspool like US men. Besides all that ******** the US men and their incestuous relationship with SUM, MLS, USSF and their suckitude. I don't give two shits about that thanks to captain for life and his daddy's buddy.

I might humbly submit that the yanks abroad forum is a space for perhaps savvier posters, those more interested in the nuances of players’ international careers, and while it is a gray area to talk about international soccer here, there is an appropriate way to do so with subtlety and respect.

The rationale for preventing discussion of national team stuff here is basically what y-lee says it is (although...ahem...he included a few more chili peppers in the recipe than most of us more conservative chefs would call for).

    1. There are multiple places dedicated to discussing the national team in great detail. This is the only place where people can settle in to talk about what's going on with a YA's club career.

    2. Historically, the national team discussions, once started here, do tend to take over, as (not all, but enough) people bring the same emotions that got all cranked up in USA Men and US Men N and A immediately to bear on what's being said here. This leaves little room for #1, above.

    3. So we prohibit long discussions of national team related issues. We don't jump on them immediately, but if they start to put down roots then Johnny Law shows up with his week killer.

    4. Sorry for the mixed metaphor in #3.

Compared to the reality of what he's describing, his recipe could best be described as Extra-Mild IMO

Yeah, I was trying to soft-peddle it. There are quite of few of us who've had a case of YA sting ring.

Geez good thing I only put Jalapeno, I think you get carded over here for ghost peppers. Heck I remember a mod named Friedls Accent when jalapeno was a card, and ghost pepper a straight red with a ban.

Pretty brutal take, just no power or placement. Interesting that there was almost no discussion leading up to him taking the penalty, feels like his manager must have set that before the match

Also, here's the full video of the goal:

    edit: fixed the YT link

Here is the best video of the assist I can find. Looks like a hell of a pass off the half volley

Deadline Day move by Anderlecht, taking former player Alexander Mitrovic off Newcastle's hands and putting both out of their misery. It's officially a loan too, though that's probably just until the takeover is completed and they can sign him in the summer.

He was lethal at this level for Anderlecht between 2013 and 2016, so Kenny should have someone to distribute the ball to.
