Not really news. He's basically echoing what Waibel said not long ago. Almost verbatim. Edit: I guess Petke saying this directly in response to why he wasn't in training adds another layer to this. Looking more likely that he won't be back I think.
How about Justin Meram for Yura straight up? http://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-t...ce-for-columbus-crew-scs-justin-meram-sources
Every time I see there's a new post in this thread, I have hopes that it's news of Yura finding a new home.... clicking on this thread is like me being Charlie Brown and the thread being Lucy (the football is Yura).
Reports are that Meram was sold to Orlando for over $1M in allocation dollars, so that trade won' be happening. On a somewhat related note, I feel like teams are overpaying for these MLS guys.
Agreed. Maybe TAM/GAM isn't considered to have an exchange rate of 1:1 with actual cash for GM's. I can understand that. But even at a 2:1 ratio all of these deals lately have seemed ridiculous.
I think that's bound to happen as the cap rises and more money is available. Just look at the rapid inflation that international players are going for. Remember when people thought Pogba's transfer fee was insane? It looks like frugal spending now.
I don't see how the football could be Yura, it moved pretty quickly when Lucy yanked it out from in front of you, err, Charlie Brown.
I'm leaning towards him not staying if he's not even training with the team. If for some reason he does, he won't be a major contributor. That's my take on it.
