For Western expats its Dammam and Khobar area, its the most western area in Saudi Arabia.

But i guess the most commercialized area should be jeddah............
in terms of more westernized should be riyadh but i visited a part of riyadh where the canadian embassy is located (when my parents were called for an interview:) )

Riyadh streets and buildings and everything are western and its a modern city, but the traditions here are nothing like western, discluding the teenagers. Dammam and Khobar on the other hand have people who's tradition are more western and the area itself looks western. Jeddah's people are very western, but the area itself isn't very western.

    Congratulations syrianfootballer :)

Regarding best place to live.. I have to say I was really dissapointed the last time I went to Khobar. I've heard so many people (particularly people from Riyadh) wax lyrical about the eastern province, but I when I went I didn't see the great appeal. I was only there for a short time though, maybe on a longer stay I would get a better impression.
