https://akron.prestosports.com/sports/msoc/2013-14/releases/20140210mj1dne Zips add huge 2014 class. I can barely wait until first Spring scrimmage.
A pair of 6-2 defenders and a 6-3 forward - that's a definite change in philosophy. (I've always though Akron was a little vulnerable with lack of size given the physical nature of college soccer.)
Stanford also got one of the top Timbers kids. If Garcia-Aguilar is the player I'm thinking of, I'll be interested to see how he does. Small but quick and really good close control.
Kelly Findley and NC State make a statement with a loaded recruiting class. http://www.gopack.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/021114aae.html
Syracuse announces three freshmen, all with ties to the Revolution. http://cuse.com/news/2014/2/12/MSOC_0212145835.aspx#.UvusCPldXIU
Looking at their site, they also posted a few recently enrolled players http://cuse.com/news/2014/1/31/MSOC_0131142818.aspx?path=msoccer#.Uvu01mJdWbM The most interesting one to me is Liam Callahan, who started every game as a freshman at Villanova. Not to read too much into one kid, but this may be a sign of the relative health of those two programs. It wasn't that long ago that Syracuse used to be the program that lost that sort of kid, rather the one that added him.
I believe post 34 of this thread had this one covered. McIntyre has done a tremendous job increasing the talent level at Syracuse. Being in the ACC helps, of course, but he's still done a good job in a short time. Very soon Syracuse is going to start regularly sending players to MLS. Now he just needs to improve their non-con schedule. Oh, and Villanova is just a mystery how they continue to be non-factors nationally. Good school, good conference in the middle of a soccer-rich area.
Tulsa's first class as they (arguably) move up in conference difficulty in the AAC. http://www.tulsahurricane.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/021214aab.html
Is Jordan Speed related to Jacob Speed who is at SMU via Kentucky? If so, should anything be read into Speed choosing to go to Tulsa rather than SMU?
Following up on their tweets from earlier this month, LMU announces. http://www.lmulions.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/021114aab.html

Elon announces. Alavarez was tearing up the Academy before his family moved back to Honduras. I didn't realized he'd come back to the US to go to a JC. Curious to see how he'll do in DI. http://www.elonphoenix.com/news/2014/2/11/MSOC_0211141050.aspx
I've heard really good things from the German front about Beuscher. Expect him to make some noise right from the start.
Any of these guys immediate impact guys? Good to see Findley building domestically but I'm interested in how this team will fare come August.

He was playing for Motagua's reserve team.. he was alright, nothing really stood out from him compared to the other kids on the team, but I didn't know either he returned to the states to play for Louisburg where he had a pretty good season. I'm wishing him the best at Elon, make us proud!
