Did Bento implement all of his ideas in China? Or is he applying them for the first time with KNT?

So, it will be without SHM, HHC and LSW, right? And we still don't know whether Ki or Koo or both retired yet. That means, we might have to replace 5 players. I guess KPG will include Suk and probably Ji as well. I also hope for Han Chan Hee to get a chance.

I am also interested if they will go with JHS or not, given that KPG was pretty negative about STY's decisions.

Ironically, his last match with Portugal as a player was against South Korea at 2002 WC.

Btw Bento is looking to add 3 Korean coaches: 2 field coaches and 1 physical coach. Chance for STY? :whistling:

Though I'm glad the trickster is gone, however, let's see what this Bentu guy is made of. Words are just words and Stielike had plenty while at helm. Actions are much louder and meaningful.

From what I remember reading in the past SHM, HHC, and LSW will be included. Tottenham and KFA negotiated that SHM would be able to be called up for September since he is already in Asia, but they will not call him for November or the first two AC matches.

The fact that Lunch Box man is desperate, might be a good thing as he and his staff will give 100% all to this job and mission. There will be no complacency or lackadaisical-ness.

And he did spend 4 years with Portuguese NT, and 4 years with Sporting. Instead of job-jumping every couple of years, which was quite prone for a lot of the managers that were in the discussion for the KNT job. To me, this is a HUGE positive.

I'm hoping Paulo's tenure with that Chinese club was like an internship experience, and that Paulo adapted and learned from his experience.

There were rumors we tried to hire Hierro who we beat with Spain in 2002 and now Bento? Does anyone know if there was anyone that played for the USA, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Germany, or Turkey in 2002 that became a good manager? We might have a chance lol.

Who the ******** would want to manage this team 4 years before a WC. There's too little incentive

I'm hopeful but some of the same things were said about stielke when he was announced: it'll be his last major job so he'll be desperate to succeed.

His positive seems to be his work with youth and that's a good fit with the turnover the NT will need with the youngsters coming up.

But the difference is that Stielike said he will retire after WC 2018, which imo gave him less incentive than a man who has a potential future to salvage.

each room has a desk and there are conference rooms. im sure there are office-like areas they put to use whenever required. why does every one of them need an office. they are only in paju for 3-4 days of the month

Don't want to spoil anything, but if you check out some old reddit posts about him, there's not one person who thinks he's a good manager. One of the common critics was that he never tested talented youngsters during his Portugal stint, so...:coffee:

    Lee Kang In...

At least the expectations are low

Never been this un-excited about a new managerial appointment (yes I was excited about Uli  in 2014).
