Two more friendlies in the U.S. scheduled for March 2018. Both are FIFA dates: Mexico vs. TBA, Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, March 23 Mexico vs. TBA, AT&T Stadium in Dallas, March 27
Scotland and Denmark added to the schedule. Mexico vs. Iceland, Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, March 23 Mexico vs. Croatia, AT&T Stadium in Dallas, March 27 Mexico vs. Scotland, Estadio Azteca, June 2 (last game in Mexico prior to the World Cup) Mexico vs. Denmark, TBA, in Denmark, June 9
Terrible wc prep. Our 2006 and 2010 prep matches was better. 2014 was about the same as this year's except for Portugal.
Except for the fact we still don't have a rival for South Korea, the prep is great. We are focusing on teams like Sweden and the European style that we have to face (at least physically like Germany). Big rivals are good but the main thing should be to face teams like we are in the World Cup. Too many big rivals in too little time can be a problem like in 2010 when we went all out against England and Italy (2 big teams that were busts in the World Cup) and thus looked down on the game against The Netherlands in between (who ended up in 2nd place). Yeah this has me worried. Supposedly it's a tough rival to get friendlies with as teams like Japan that are physically the same, don't play like them.
