Wait, so Park Ju-young was willing to forego the golden parachute (no buy-out) and mutually terminate the contract, but Arsenal blocked the move because they wanted a transfer fee from Wolfsburg? In other words, it was a win-win situation for Arsenal but they declined because PJY's transfer was contingent on a release (no transfer fund to Arsenal)?

    If so....WOW.

    yea, probably another BS.
had the article translated for me and the article stated Wolfsburg considered a move for PCY because KJC wanted a move to Mainz.

if the article simply stated Wolfsburg considered a move for PCY as their FW depth is weak (Ilicic is old, Bas Dost is injury prone).. it makes sense. but PCY to replace KJC??? :cautious:

Tonight was a great great deception, we don't understand our team. We lose at home 0-1 against Boulogne (????).
Youngjae Lee hasn't played badly, but hasn't played well. He was a little... transparent.
He played on right-wing, and he switched regularly on front of attack. But still hasn't scored.
Lee was subsituted at 57' by Tulasne.

    Next game: 09.13 at Luzenac.

    3. PCY then scores.

    That would be comical.

    From the article:
Was this where PCY trained just before the Olympics? Just wondering.

I dunno. This has gone on quite a while but I doubt he'd go to japan at this point vs french clubs who'd love to get a subsidized striker.

No Korean player should ever go to Urawa.

I'm curious as to the reasoning of this. Should we hate them as much as we hate Arsenal?

Urawa is the Jleague's biggest club by far. I'm not exactly sure why but it'd be odd to see a Korean there.

They are a Mitsubishi club, their fans bring the rising sun flag every match. I doubt Park Ju-young would go somewhere like here anyway lol so I dont know why their name pops everytime.

sorry, if they negate the rest of the remaining contract, then why does wenger care where he goes or not....then he'd be a Free Agent...right? are there any fees that Arsenal will receive in some way?

PCY's agent wants his guaranteed salary paid out so won't cancel until the financial gap to new club is not huge.

Arsenal is trying to pay the least salary with the outside hope of earning a fee. They'd like to cancel but can't without PCY approval.

If I was in Arsenal's position, I'd also hold out until a club comes swooping in since it's a lose-lose situation either way (lump sum payment or weekly installments until 2014/15).

But if I was in PJY's shoes, I'd give the approval to terminate the contract because wasting away not playing football during my prime is just crazy talk.

Exactly...Arsenal has more room to wait but the next two years for PJY, heck...that's it!
