LKI has played, within 5 minutes he was kicked in the face and got a nosebleed. PSH playing right now, and why tf would Bayern play Jeong unless it's a useless game
Wow that 19 years old LB is really good. Girona is playing really well now. Paik is playing ok considering it's his debut.
He's had essentially 0 impact, but at least no major mistakes. Let's hope the half time talk inspires him.
Girona playing very well. They should really be 3-1 up. Particularly should have scored that header from 2 yards out. PSH playing tentative. He will grow into it in the second half if given the opportunity. He's playing as an advanced right sided CM. He looks a thousand times better in a deeper regista role. He will learn and grow from this.
lol yea he was probably so shook playing his first pro match against Athletic Madrid of all opponents. It reminds me of my first varsity game. I was so scared lol. I kinda know how he feels. He will get better as his nerves settle down.
Well he's done. Thought he had a decent debut especially against a strong side like Atletico Madrid. He showed some good potential imo. He reminds me of Ki with the good and the bad. Bad as in he's not very active when it comes to defending, kind of invisible kind of like Ki. But I think he's more mobile than Ki. Sadly, I think we need a more defensive player beside him in KNT. I wonder how good Kim Jungmin will be in that regard.... I think this game showed Paik is a player that we can expect to see more often with Girona especially if they are willing to invest in him.
And he's off. 5/10 No major mistakes but peripheral. Played scared. A few moments of classy link play along with some poor touches. Still, great that he made his debut. In hindsight, would have preferred if he came off the bench or played deeper where he could have a bit more time on the ball and grow into the game instead of playing right side CAM against Atleti. In summary, something to build on.
Agree. I think he's definitely more mobile than KSY. He's clearly not an aggressive ball winner ala Davids or DDR, but I'm hoping he develops into a Redondo lite - an elegant deep playmaking pivot who is defensively responsible.
people suggesting he may have put on even more muscle mass. might explain why he doesnt look as mobile as before. getting used to ones new physique on the pitch takes time
He didn't look bad. I doubt LJS would've done any better against this bad ass Atleti team. at least Paik is playing against real footballers while he's playing against sunday leaguers in bunli 2.
Local papers gave him a 6 rating. 4th highest on the team, but I think he got a "debut" store credit. He did ok. The uniform consensus is that his future is very bright.
What's the BSKPA criteria for a player thread? First team league play? A lot established players who transferred to a new team (e.g, Park Chu Young) got their own thread well before any 1st team appearances. PSH is playing in a top division whereas LSW is playing D2. (and all the B2 player threads) I think there is enough interest in LKI and PSH to warrant new threads instead of getting buried in KPA or Youth Abroad.
But what I've seen, Lee Kangin has been playing better than Paik even though he's 4 years younger. Than again, Lee Kangin played for Valencia first team far more than Paik so he's used to the level.
I haven't seen either of them much, but Lee Kangin looks like the real deal tbh. Not convinced about Paik. But I'm going off short sample sizes.
