16 SAKO Maaya (Tokyo Verdy Youth) -> Tall, but terrible. Needs to improve his coordination a lot. 6 YOKOKAWA Asahi (Shonan Bellmare U-18) -> was pretty good. Like to play soft balls and one-touch passes. 8 NARUOKA Hikaru (Shimizu S-Pulse Youth) -> was also quite decent overall. 9 NAKANO Keita (Kyoto Sanga F.C. U-18) -> good dribbler, just needs to improve his decision making. 13 MITO Shunsuke (JFA Academy Fukushima U18) -> pacey player, just very short. 15 NAKANO Ryuma (Kyoto Sanga F.C. U-18) -> was pretty good. 18 ARAKI Ryotaro (Higashi Fukuoka High School) -> didn't see him 10 NISHIKAWA Jun (Toko Gakuen High School) -> won the tournament MVP without deserving it. Hasn't a very good body balance yet. Scored one goal in the whole tournament. Has shown some promising stuff off the ball. 19 AOKI Yusuke (FC Tokyo U-18) -> didn't show anything. 20 TOYAMA Shoji (Gamba Osaka Youth) -> Was the real MVP of the tournament.
Takuhiro Nakai will be eligible for the next tournament. Will be interesting to see how he's developed in Spain.

Well, not sure it is because of the rise of Japanese football or Argentinian football is hitting a new low, or this is just an random Argentinian team.
Don't know where to post, but Japan U16 just beat Mexico 5-0 and won a friendly tournament: Again, an unbelievable result against supposed to be tough team.

On paper it's still a strong squad, I'm skeptical only about the defense. I've seen most of these players and there are many interesting names.
